Omg, this really worked!!!! My husbands truck liner was just disgusting, he is a smoker. I used simple green and water, 50/50. Used a spray bottle and misted. Used a buffer, it turned out fantastic!!!! Thank you so much for the video!
At 51 I am just getting started with my own detaining business and wouldn't you know my first vehicle is a SUV that smells like there was a weekend poker tournament held in it. This is a great idea and thank you Scott for sharing.
You are the man! This video saved me HOURS of work. I cleaned the nastiest headliner in a Freightliner Cascadia today using the APC and a polisher, it came out amazing! Thank you.
I love these videos. They prove wrong the industry that is installing so much fear of doing damage to our cars that there are many misconceptions. You did them on your own car with real results. Props. Also I saw you got a shoutout from Pan the Organizer a while back. Idk if you agree with all his techniques, but he seems like a good guy with a pretty good following. Keep up these videos they help me and others more than you would ever imagine.
Damn dude, thats exactly what I needed, Im having a customer with trashed headliner on this saturday and didnt really know how to do it . Thanks a lot !
I end up trying to Clean my Coustmer head liner with chemicals guys Fabric cleaner on a Drill Brush ( white) after Words I try to exstact it with my Bissell an It LEFT Ring Or Line Spots, Were am I going wrong
Wish i had your mentors advice four months ago. What i need help is with pricing. Passion is out weighing pricing sometimes. Thx god for my customers who appreciate my art work. They pay me more that what i quote them.
Love you Scott, you are the man, respect! Straight to the deal, mind blowing methods, thanks for sharing your experience, every detailer and car enthusiast in the world should see the way of detailing, thumbs up!
So, today I watched this video and found his information very helpful. I went as far as calling Scott. He gave me good advise. These tools he uses are for pros. If you, like me, just want to clean your car, there are other off the shelf products you can use to save money. I enjoy your videos, Scott. Keep bring them to the public. Cookie in California.
Lol the Kevin Brown reference deserved a like. Thanks for the tips, my boss always taught us to not touch headliners but I knew there were ways to clean them but I know how fragile they are so I wouldn't.
Going to try my Griots Garage DA to do my headliner and see the results! Unfortunately I am a smoker:( and my truck is 10 years old. It looks great on the exterior due to my paint correction biz , but havnt touched headliner and will let you know the results! Thanks for your time and effort into the detailing world!
Scott awesome idea!! That is why you have a growing business in your area. Always one step ahead of the competition.....Scott how often do you change your pad doing this headliner.........
What kind of Lexus you got? I watched this video for my 10’ gs350, glad to see it’s on another Lexus since you’re proving it’s effective on their materials.
Scott, i have to admit i thought you were nuts. However, i tried this on my car and i love it. I was considering replacing my liner so i figured, why not, what have i got to loose. Now ive only spent a few bucks and saved hundreds. Thanks Scott.
big fan here scott thank you so much for saving us a lot of money with your pro tips and tricks you are really different and unique compare to other detailers out there keep on sharing your experiences with us god bless you
Or use a drill with soft brush and cleaner wipe it with a microfiber cloth when done works great on my 22 FX4 ford truck and I do it every time I detail my truck smells amazing and gets stains out to
👍 I'm considering using Folex Instant Carpet Spot Remover on a microfiber towel + elbow grease for my first, less aggressive option. I'm hesitant to use a DA on the ivory headliner of my 2004 Toyota Avalon.
This is one of those times when I wish I’d taken before and after pics. Thanks for sharing this amazing technique. Took 5 years of spreading mildew off the headliner/ceiling of a 1984 VE Westfalia in 20 minutes no problem.
This video is sweet!! I smoke cigars in my X3. I know I shouldn't. Shout from Queens NY too! I'm in PA now and my friends tease me about saying the words sawft and cawfee all the time😃
Your awesome Scott, very greatful to have you share your wisdom and knowledge. Hope your having a good weekend! It' offically summer!! :) Stay cool my friend.
Wouldn't worry so much about people saying you're trying to make money off of them. I really wish you would start putting them the descriptions of the materials you're using down in the description. It's a pain in the ass sometimes to go look for some of the products that you are mentioning. Besides sometimes I would like to contribute to a channel that helps me and you has helped me a couple times. Don't listen to them jackasses just trying to make money
the eabster if you type maxshine on a Amazon search, so easy to find all their products. The DA is griots garage, so easy to find in AutoZone or on any Google search.
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing I got you there. I understand you not wanting to seem like somebody trying to make money off someone but there is a few videos that you have done especially about the Griot's products they gave me information that I don't mind returning the favor and pitching in five bucks every month for the information you give out. Or just the videos that help me . I understand it takes time effort to make these videos let alone information you give out. Honestly I think you're the only RU-vidr that i don't have a link for donations or products. And if it means that much to you I understand but some videos are worth paying for in my book. Then again there are some that are just good entertainment. Have a good night Scott look forward to your next one.
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing @the eabster I too was wondering where’s the links/ “wish lists” to these products in his description as well. I’ve never seen this type of RU-vid channel that’s done this before; however, you know right away he’s not BS’ing his viewers. Furthermore, its shows the type of character he is. He’s a professional detailer NOT a snake salesmen. He wants to provide his professional detailing services as well as providing his expertise to others for free. Thus, to ensure his clients/ RU-vid Viewers are stratified at the end of the day.
Hey scott I just ceramic coated my dark blue Honda and wow the water just runs off the car. Just wanted to share, I used the cheap Mr fix 10.00 coating but was amazed by how it turned out. Great video love your videos. 😎😎
What about a cloth style newer Toyota headliner? I already made the headliner fuzzy in the spots that I tried with a simple cloth and some light rubbing.
I did this to a small area of my headliner minus the blower part at the end. Let it air dry. It now has the demarcation line/wet spot all around the area I worked. How do I get rid of the line now?
Guessing one would need at least a half dozen pads or at a minimum clean the one pad multiple times during the process. Otherwise it would simply move the dirt around.
I fucking loved this video, felt like I was watching an instructional video by phil swift that does the flex seal commercials. Great video, much better than your last video with apc and microfiber + steamer. Will be doing this on my BMWs! thanks again scott!!
Hello Scott happy memorial day btw. I see you are using a white microfiber pad for a light colored headliner. My question to you is Do you think its a good idea if i use a black microfiber pad for dark colored headliner just to play it safe?
That definitely helps get more returns on your investments in polishers keeping them working for you when otherwise it would be on the rack. Capital idea 💡
great way to clean the headliner. only I would not use APC. I would use a upholstery cleaner. some thing made for fabric. but if you have APC then use it . seems to work for him.
Great, great video. More ammo for the arsenal, even the product endorsememt is just as helpful and makes sense.... We can get into all the other product pushing later!! Lol! Thanks and have a safe holiday scott!
Are there any concerns taking this approach on an older car? I had a 1995 Buick where the headliner fabric separated (not sure if it was glue failure or if the foam pad dry rotted). Would this process potentially accelerate this kind of failure?
