Headphone Cables - Coiled vs Straight 

I recently purchased some mogami XLR cables and I absolutely love them! I'm ready to join the mogami fan club at this point.

I didn't know you could unscrew the tip of the jack! Thank you for the "tip"!

So - I came here as a guitarist browsing coily vs straight cables. Cool video here! I like the extra perspective. Here are some thoughts as a guitarist. 1) Guitarists through history used curly cables simply to roll off some high frequencies from their guitars. The longer travel length of the cable acts as a capacitor and rolls off the highs ever so slightly on bright sounding guitars. 2) I've recently gotten into these cables because they're kind of durable and they look cool. I only use one coily from guitar to pedal board on the ground. I typically anchor the end of the cable going to the guitar on the strap pin so that it relieves weight on the jack. (I also do this with straight cables so that the cable won't unexpectedly detach from the guitar if I walk far away from my pedal board. I can see both as being useful. Probably the straight makes sense for most applications. But there's something kind of 'cool' and retro about the coily ones.
