Honestly,very similar, although the KZ is a little more sibilant than the JD1. But, honestly, both are enjoyable. I'd suggest you start with JD1.

I just use the EQ that comes with my Xiaomi13Ultra. The rock preset with Xiaomi sound works great for me.

For spacial awareness in gaming,go for Truthear NOVA, SIMGOT EM6L or ORIVETI OD200.

Tough one. I would say this is almost similar in signature to the Castor. The only advantage that Castor has is that you can use thrle tuning switch to bring down the slight sharpness of the ultra high frequencies.

💯 It starts off almost getting into the sibilant territory but that improves and mellows down the more you use it.

You're good with the one you have. If you want to try something else,the SIMGOT EW200,EM6L, TRUTHEAR NOVA are all great options. Also,I just use the system EQ on my Xiaomi 13 Ultra, haven't any additional app.

Type-C has DSP built-in so you don't need a DAC.

@@maz_lm10The type C Dac supports upto 24bit 96khz which is HiRes quality, but a separate DAC supports 32bit 384 khz, so if you want convience go for type C and if you want ultimate HiRes than the 3.5mm is the way.

You can simply go for the SIMGOT EW200 with a DAC. Checkout my review of it. I love that IEM. You'll end up saving a lot of money that you can then invest in more IEMs.

They won't help in this case buddy, because of there personal reasons.😉 So let me help you out with this. Don't waste your money on ddhifi x HPZ dac instead get the Audiocular D07 DAC it is completely similar to the ddhifi x HPZ DAC but costs half the price. Hope this helps.

The brand doesn't matter that much in your price segment buy the cheapest DAC with CX 31993 chipset and you'll be fine. BTW, I have 2000 points in my headphone zone account. I bought truthear gate and returned and received points in exchange. I can give you those points worth ₹2000 for ₹1500. Reason: I found EPZ Q1 Pro from somewhere else and those 2000 rupees in my headphone zone wallet are of no use to me. Reply if you're interested.

Moondrop Chu or SIMGOT EW200

Chus have been discontinued and Simgot are actually V shaped (Harman 2016). In this price segment you can't find any true "neutral" sets but the one that gets as close as to neutral in my opinion is 7Hz Zeros. BTW, I have 2000 points in my headphone zone account. @@nisomsom they would work anyway if your phone had a 3.5mm port. But,thanks to the built-in DAC,it mitigates that issue and also make sure you get the best audio possible from these IEMs.

I've seen many people on Twitter praising kz zex

You can go for CCA CRA,KZ CASTOR,BLON BL03 or KZ ZSN PRO X. They have a lot of similarities. All of these have a fairly V-shaped sound signature so might be a tad bit sibilant at times,but, enjoyable nonetheless.

ZSN PRO 2 is a good choice. EW200 from SIMGOT is a great overall iem. Also,a DAC is a one time investment that will help bring out the most from your future iem investments as well.

Haven't used the Chu 2 but these are very lively and pack a punch in terms of sound. Highs might sound a tad bit harsh initially.

@@aashishpatil brother, the Bluetooth speaker (portronics drum, boat1200, Zeb etc)which has FM radio doesn't give good reception at all and moreover it gives mono sound only and doesn't give same quality listening as we play thru Bluetooth mode. Therefore I have decided to buy JBL tuner 5w which is made especially for FM radio lovers and it gives same quality sound as equally played thru Bluetooth mode. So I am waiting for better price discount and availability of the product. Hope this ll help u for better decision 🙌

Blon BL03 is quite similar to this one. This is better than Hola for sure in my opinion. TANGZU WAN'ER is more balanced. Haven't used FiiO VR500.

Haven't used the Zero 2. But,I can recommend this one to almost everyone. Try it or even go for the KZ Castor with the settings I recommended in my review.

I haven't used the Moondrop Chu 2. But, in general, the Chu offers balanced sound signature while this is V-shaped.

@@dvdarshan The midrange is great. Not the best (there are IEMs with strongers mids) but good enough, and nothing in the midrange feels missing during casual listening. Details are very good too. This model is strongest on the lows (mid bass and sub bass) and highs (upper mids and above). However, there is a brightness to the overall sound signature and it feels energetic rather than relaxed. Some people like myself prefer a subdued and relaxed sound. The KZ Castor's switches will let you tweak the bass and then also boost the mids/highs a bit to keep up with the boosted bass, but it will not let you lower the highs from the default setting without touching the bass. But you should be able to manage that and more using an equaliser app. Fiio JD1, in comparison, has slightly more controlled highs and almost the same bass, mids are supposed to be similar to the castor but felt a bit lacking to me in comparison. I would suggest you try all of these if possible, as the differences are very fine.

This is a good option. Else,the KZ Castor is a great one as well.

Yes,internal DAC plays a big role. Usually iPhones have a better quality DAC. That is why I keep pushing my audience to invest in a portable DAC that brings out the best in the IEMs.

You want vocals..? KZ EDX Lite No reason to buy the expensive ones.
