Thanks for dropping by! Here's my first impressions video if you missed it: First Impressions: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PoFIiO_eJdE.html
Just want to share this info I got from HR support. If you are capturing a preamp section of an Amp (like this vid) and it has an effects loop, you can use a standard 1/4 cable from the effects Send to the Headrush Mic Input to do the capture. Just remember to still and always have a cabinet plugged into one of your 4/8/16 ohm speaker outputs from the Amp head into that cabinet.
Thanks dude, and so glad you watched that video. I might have had some hints this was coming 😉 But yeah, I think this is just the first, I'm sure we will see more releases soon.
this new unit sounds really good - cloning of these amps was very good to my ears - to me this new prime model sounds better than the older headrush units maybe the DSP processors/converters are better - the patches/presets and the rigs yall are creating sound really good - good job headrush
For what it's worth... let's say they are all within 10% of each other with Headrush at the bottom quality wise. I'd still prefer it just because the user experience is the most enjoyable IMO 🤷♂️
The tubescreamer changed the Mid frequency position. That is the audible difference between the normal amp and the capture. The Tube screamer just changed it so its the correct mid range.
To answer questions that I and others had before getting this unit, yes the clones sound and feel as good as Tonex. I am cloning from my Tonex software onto the Prime , 3 minutes and it’s done. You want this.
Hey Taylor, question, can u use a RU-vid video / audio output into the Headrush unit to achieve the desired clone you are looking for? Example, I find the guitar only studio version of Round and Round by Warren DiMartini on RU-vid, can I (using a connector) plug into the USB on the Headrush and get my clone that way? I am going to try, tell me your opinion on this, thank you.
Thanks dude! They're really cool amps. I think they get poo poo'd by gear snobs because of the Dime affiliation, but they are very boutique in tone and quality.
Taylor thank you for all the contents you do , I have a question for you ? How does the tone capture of your Krank amp done on the headrush prime compare to your old tone capture you did with the Mooer Ge250...awaiting your response..Luc
Marshall sounds better to my ears. Interesting that most cloning devices add more top end to the clone, but this one seems to cut the highs a little, which is not horrible!
its a great unit, but to big, i would get one if and when they bring out a rack version. they gotta do it, fractal and helix do it. would be much better for studio purpose , which im suggesting where it would be more at use. cheers Taylor
Wow. I haven't heard anything about Headrush since the first model (the Pedalboard) was out. The amps in that one sounded absolutely terrible. This one actually sounds amazing!
I think it's so hard to interpret that because it's different for everyone. In my experience I never really notice it with any digital unit, and it it's a bit stiff sounding, I usually just add a compressor (or sag option if there is one) to make it a bit squishier.
Except it’s not standard. Look at the quad cortex, it’s considered top of the line and it’s been promised they will have it soon, except they haven’t delivered.
I have a really hard time wrapping my brain around this sort of thing, can someone explain to me if it's possible to clone an amp Sim? I would absolutely love to be able to clone some of the neural DSP presets or the o t t o 1111 any advice would be so appreciated
@@Sixfootdig if you are cloning a pedal or from the interface of an amp sim on your computer treat it the same use pedal mode. Use amp cab mode if using a mic in front of speaker
I hear a pretty big difference between the clone and real amp. Not saying one is better then the other or that i could tell which is which in a blind test, just saying they are very different sounding
Hey Taylor, can this thing do parallel chains for stereo rigs (some stereo effects, dual amp and dual IR)? I guess if it has so much processing power it might be able to do that.
I wonder if they will produce one with metal I/O's ? all that plastic would disintegrate the first night out with all the clowns running around, know what I mean ?
@sphinx I've spent $. Maybe a.b. challenge, or could be future add in for digital processing in future? What do you think? If they can do it with ir's then maybe tubes are next?
I am all done with Headrush after they deliberately withheld updating their original Pedalboard with features in order to sell this new board... People should be POed with this money-grubbing company... 💥
@@abheceshabemuskk3531 hardly i thought so at first but adding a green scream boost effect to the profiles woke them up - plus easy to change cabs IRs etc far better than the headrush plus the headrush ad many units fail
