Healing thoughts following lung surgery 

A week following my first lung surgery, I felt strong enough to take a long stroll and reflect on the previous week. The surgery went well and the recovery was progressing well. But the operation was, in many ways, the kick-off of the next phase of my life with cancer. I just had my phone with me and the winter storm was hurling some pretty snowy and brisk winds so the quality is a little coarse but I thought the weather was helpful in keeping my head clear ... a state that I find very welcome these days!
