Dear Olivia, your channel is a breath of fresh air! Thank you for taking your time and making an effort to film! Please continue, your videos are so informative and beautiful!
This is a beautiful video, super helpful and educational. You did a great job at explaining the difference between the two and I learn a lot from your videos. Thank you so much!
Hi, Olivia I received my Liu Bao Hei Che and your gift sample of the 2006 Camphor GU SHU Pu-erh. Thank you so much. You are awesome. The order arrived so fast just like before. It’s hard to believe we are 2781 miles apart. The 2018 Aged Bai Mu Dan Wang White Tea Cake and The Superior Roast Iron Buddha I ordered last time is spectacular. I had no idea the aged white tea cake was going to be that great. Your tea is truly special. ☮️💟
Beautiful. Could you please do more informative videos on tea/herbal concoctions like this one?! Maybe on how to start your own tea shop and the challenges? THANK YOU!
Hey Olivia, hello from Brazil: I am very fan of chinese tea and we live in very afurtunate time because is so easy to buy tea from china nowadays. I have a collection, small amounts of tea, white green oolong, and so forth. I drink it every day more than once a day. Thank you very much for this very kind work you are doing here on youtube. I appreciate it very much. My gratitude to you.
Hi Carlos, thank you so much for watching! This is so lovely to hear. We are planning more content to come and will keep working on producing great content!
My Korean friend Minjeong in college introduced me to this amazing birds' nest shaped tea cake that needed to be rinsed. I am thankful she did or I would have been oblivious as the packaging wasn't in English. Just found out about the GABA properties it has, too! 13 years later I am happily rediscovering the puerh teas!
Wow where did you hear it has the GABA properties ? I had some pu er several years ago but I had never heard of it before but it was the only tea I had left and I drank two cups one day two cups the next day and then one cup the third day and I remember looking in the mirror I'm thinking it is absolutely impossible that my abdomen area looked Slimmer as I had gained weight around the holidays and I just couldn't believe it but yes I could see it and feel it and I hadn't done anything different other than drink the tea and that's when I found out that the fermented pu er gets rid of fat and flab and I'm telling you at least the kind I had really did work . I just don't know if I would trust any other brand and what I had was in a tiny tin in a gift pack . I have not yet bought the cake type that you mentioned . My friend is asking about it and I don't know what to tell her
@@gardensofthegods I have a neurodiverse household, so I watched a particular video titled "TEA & AUTISM - What's the connection?" on the channel called Mei Leaf, which is all about teas. That one shared a lot of research info.
@@Aim4aCreativeLife also I don't know the age of your child of course but when our brother was 2 years old around 1964 he was diagnosed with both brain damage and autism . My father took him to the Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential in Chestnut Hill , Philadelphia who did extensive tests and said he had a high IQ and that they could help him .
I visited a spactular Tea shop in Chinatown NY, I purchases fermented Pu ehr tea balls. I have researched all the the health benefits, I suffer from neuropathy amongst other realted issues from chemotherapy 9 months in 2018. I'm concerned of any tea that will raise my estrogen level as on still on aromatse inhibitiors for at least 10 more years. Does Pu erh tea or fermation process raise hormone levels please?
Hi Monica, thanks for your inquiry! Unfortunately, we are not medical professionals and cannot offer any medical advice in that way. Would be best to consult your doctor!
Monica , they are very reputable and in Florida . You can see it online and they deliver . Wonderful tasting and you really have to give it a try but research it and you'll see what I am saying. You should just get the plain one that is only all Blush Wood Berry .
Please can you tell me if this is true : I heard we are not supposed to use boiling water for tea but instead shut off the water right before it boils ... is this true because that is how I use it for tea I never use boiling water .
Thank you! My question is how to sort of tastefully throw finished tea leaves and clean gaiwan to make finishing more satisfyingly beautiful? How to incorporate this into our ceremony! Can you perhaps make a video about how we throw our used tea?
Thanks for your question! We usually keep a small, elegant slop bowl near the tea tray/table for holding used tea leaves or excess tea/water during the ceremony. To help with that, you can also have a tea pick or scoop on hand to help elegantly scoop out tea leaves. Feel free to use a generous amount of water to help wash out used leaves. We will add your video idea to our list!
@@treasuregreentea Thanks! I've found a beautiful and inexpensive bowl, and have a small purple bamboo chashaku for scooping the spent leaves from the gaiwan. Works good!
Hi Marcia, it would be very difficult to name the best Pu-erh tea as there are truly thousands to choose from. However, as a general rule of thumb, a good quality Pu-erh tea would be aged in good storage conditions, carry a vibrant and complex aroma, and be able to keep flavour through many steeps. My personal favourite right now is 2004 Special Grade Blossom Pu-Erh Tea Cake
Hi I have a question for you. This tea can be infused many times. What is the best way to preserve the tea in-between infusion times. For example if I make the tea morning, can I preserve it and use the same tea leaves for the evening?
The benefit won’t be the same if you preserve brewed tea for later use. However, if you can’t finish all the infusions, you can add some water and let it steep in the fridge as a cold brew. It will be a great summer drink! Cheers!
Hi! Thanks for watching. We recommend that you speak to a doctor as we're not able to give out medical advice. However, Cooked/Shou Pu-erh is a good place to start as it's less acidic and great for digestion.
We have a 2003 pu'er tea cake in a box, the cakes iself has elephant art pressed onto it, and tree art on the rear side? We've googled it but cant find any pu'er tea cake with art on it like ours, its a big 600gram one, and we have no idea what its worth?
It cannot be commented on in terms of quality and price because it has to be tasted to understand the quality of the leaves and the storage condition. Thank you for watching!
Yes, overall dark green teas like Organic Curly Green have great cleansing properties. They do a great job cleaning the digestive tract and therefore, can help to get rid of some fats.
