this is possibly the best interview question video i have come accrossed since my search on the internet.its so detailed.i understood every detail. thanks for this.pls can i have a section with you before my day?
Hi Tim, that depends on interviewer, i find most interviews to be around 45mins to an hour, but interviewers like to ask a lot of people skills based questions than technical ones
Hi dear, not sure if its a youtube glitch but i responded to your comment a while ago ,If you didnt see the response , here is a potential response, When asked if you have any questions during a healthcare assistant interview, it is important to ask thoughtful questions that demonstrate your interest in the position and your desire to learn more about the role and the organization. Here are some examples of good questions to ask: Can you tell me more about the day-to-day responsibilities of a healthcare assistant in this role? What training and development opportunities are available for healthcare assistants in this organization? How does the organization approach patient care, and what values do you prioritize in providing care to patients? How does the healthcare team collaborate, and what is the role of the healthcare assistant in this collaboration? Can you tell me about any recent initiatives or projects that the healthcare team has undertaken to improve patient outcomes or the delivery of care? It's important to ask questions that show you have done your research on the organization and are interested in the healthcare assistant role. Make sure to listen actively to the interviewer's responses and follow up with additional questions or comments as appropriate. This will demonstrate that you are engaged and motivated to learn more about the role and the organization.
you could answer by giving an example of a time when you received feedback from a patient or a supervisor and how you incorporated that feedback into your work. For instance, you could say: "In my previous role as a healthcare assistant, I received feedback from a patient who mentioned that I could improve my communication skills by speaking more clearly and explaining things in simpler terms. I immediately took that feedback to heart and began focusing on improving my communication with patients. I started practicing speaking clearly and concisely and began using simpler language to explain medical procedures to patients. Soon, I noticed that patients were better able to understand and feel more comfortable with the care they were receiving."
You can lead with that, if you decide to say so you can also mention how you are trying to overcome that maybe by saying, although i do get emotional when something bad happens to a client for example if they fall or pass away, I have learnt to control my emotions especially around the patient or their family members as I know it is a difficult time for them.
Hi dear , when asked to give an example of a time where u showed initiative, what's the best response ? And also what can you offer us that the other candidates cannot ? . I await your response ❤
Hi Ijie, sorry for the delayed response, life with a baby is hectic. Here is an example below, but think of your own previous experience working as an hca/nurse aide "During my previous position as a healthcare assistant, I noticed that many patients were feeling anxious and stressed during their hospital stays, particularly those who were in isolation due to infectious diseases. To address this issue, I took the initiative to develop a patient engagement program that included activities such as puzzles, coloring books, and board games to help patients pass the time and feel more relaxed. I also initiated daily patient check-ins to ask how they were feeling and if there was anything I could do to make their stay more comfortable. The program was well-received by patients and their families, and we saw an improvement in patient satisfaction scores for our unit. I was proud to have taken the initiative to identify a patient need and develop a program to address it, ultimately improving the patient experience." When answering this question with a focus on patients, it's important to choose an example that demonstrates your ability to identify patient needs and take proactive steps to improve their experience. Be specific and provide details on the steps you took, the challenges you faced, and the outcomes of your initiative. This will demonstrate your commitment to patient-centered care and your ability to make a positive impact on patients' lives.
@@littlesithinilifeinireland3637 thanks for reply once more sithini , do not mind my frequent questions as ur answers have helped me prepared so well so far . . I also want to ask, what's the best response to give when asked what is the impact of Care assistants?
You should be teaching health care assistants. You are amazing. So easy to understand and so incredibly passionate about your work I've an interview in 2 weeks and your videos are a huge help
Hi ijie thank you for stopping by, this is a broad question as patients have different health challenges, its important to structure your question around the fact that you will first refer to the clients care plan to understand their health challenges and make sure the food you are serving or preparing is in aline with this, for example a client who is struggling to chew may need a minced moist diet,,or giving prune juice may help aliviate constipation
@@littlesithinilifeinireland3637 what if I add that if giving the recipe and right ingredients , I'll b able to prepare meals according to d clients care plan ? Does it make sense ?
