I love how over the last 5 years HEALTH has turned into a straight up industrial band.

The DEMIGODS callback left me speechless

This album is Terminator 2. It’s the thumb going in the lava. Sorrowful, post apocalyptic yet incredibly badass.

This album blew away my expectations. Absolutely loved it.

That riff... Rammstein vibes. Loved it.

WHO UP RATTING THEY WARS RN

The callback to DEMIGODS was haunting. DSM-V might be the grimiest song on the whole album, it's pure hedonism. And yet the the reinvocation of DEMIGODS sounds uplifting and defiant. What an album

As much as I love Dont Try, DSM-V feels more like a signalis song; it literally feels like Elster's grittiest, most self reflective moments as she fights through a hellscape to find her gf she half remembers

Guys I'm telling you... it's the best one on the album. If you haven't heard it yet brace yourself

I am an absolute SUCKER for songs that reference other songs in the album, the little "demigods" reference makes me crave this song every time as soon as I start the album from the beginning.

The lyrics have put my experience with mental health since I was a child into words quite well. (Diagnosed at 5 years old, still on medication to this day, I'm 28.) Chronic Depression didn't kick in until college at 18 though. Been miserable on and off since, even if good things come (and go). Existential dread is one thing, but fear of losing those close to you is so much more. I don't care that one day I will stop existing, but it's those I love that bring me fear and sorrow. I already don't have much to hold onto. I live solely because I know they love me and want good things for me. Ending my life early would destroy them. But once they're gone.. what will be left? How hard will I spiral? I'm afraid. I want to spend the most time possible with them while I still can. You will love each other.

This album, hurts…and I love it! Been a long time since I’ve felt, connected with an album. This is hopelessness…

Some portions of this song sound like the song Angst by Rammstein. The guitar riff mainly. It’s basically the same. Even some of the drums when that riff part hits. Actually, it might sound more like the riff and drums in Radio by Rammstein. The speed is more similar. Angst is slower.

So glad my HEALTH t-shirt came in the mail, this is going to be the only thing I talk about for the next several months

Just got to DSM-V listening to the album in its entirety, and wow, it feels like the sleeper hit of RAT WARS. A+ track - up there with DEMIGODS and CHILDREN OF SORROW for me.
