Health Issues: I'll be in the Hospital for a Few Weeks (Cystic Fibrosis)

My health is not doing well. I've hard a very hard time with my cystic fibrosis recently and I need to get antibiotics for a couple weeks to clean out my body and get better. I promise I'll be ok, I am a little scared but I'm not in danger.

Knowing the condition he has and seeing the word Hospital in the description, I almost lost it. Until he told us what whas happening, I felt sick, thinking something was terribly wrong. He is the coolest and sweetest guy on the internet. He has put so much energy into helping people get a Ps5 or XBox the past 10 months. Take it easy Jake, we all love ya man!

I know this sounds strange but i really care about Jake's health and want him to get better. I'm in tears and he's a perfect stranger. I didn't even know about this channel a month ago and now I just have to check in daily. Start using your insulin and taking better care of yourself. Don't be afraid , quit hiding what you deal with daily. If the people can't accept seeing you as you truly are, then they don't need to be watching you. You get well. You be you in your videos. I, and my family will be praying for you. Strength to you!

Insulin is for diabetics. Edit: oops I didn't realize his medications caused some of the same issues. Crazy the treatments they have come up with since my friend who had CF gradeschool-highschool. Great positive thoughts! I'm just glad they have come up with so many treatments since my friend passed 15 years ago.

Brother, not only have you helped us get a ps5 and a x, and I thank you for that. But finding you on youtube has meant so much more than getting a gaming console. I want you to know something, I'm a 35 year old man with a wife "nitrowife" and a 10 year old little boy "nitrocreation". Learning your story and what you are about as a person has been one of if not the most inspiring thing I have ever experienced in my life. You are one hell of a strong man and my only true wish in life is that I am able to be close to as good of a father to my son as you must have and for my son to become close to the kind of man you are. If we had more people in this world who were like you, we would all be in such a better world. I mean that dude, from the bottom of my heart and I wish you all the best. Jake like you I spend a LOT of time inpatient from a chronic disease. It is horrible, but just like you, I deal with it and move on. I have a feeding tube and a permacath (like a port). My last inpatient was 4.5 months, I actually was able to score my PS5 because of you while I was in ICU with my phone. Keep on keeping on man. Thank you so much for your tips, bravery, heart, and dedication to the community. On your room tour, yes! I totally get it! I have a travel case for my PS5 that has a built in 4 k monitor, space for controllers and games. Then my iPad and my iPhone. I’m on TikTok and I make vids when I’m the hospital. Folks say “you can’t be sick with the 30 second video you just posted.” What they do not realize is, that video is so short but brings so very much joy. That joy helps me to keep going. You do what you have to do. You are appreciated and loved 🥰

I only recently discovered you within the last 24 hours and that's because I just began trying to get my hands on a PS5. I watched your full Target PS5 live stream today - start to finish - and not only appreciate what it is you're doing, the work you put in and your commitment to helping others, but now that I know your story, I have even more respect for you. My cousin was born recently with CF and it pains me to think about what he'll have to endure. That said, your positive attitude and enthusiasm for helping others is something that is in short supply in this world. It's too bad we can't clone you! Wow ! My wife had a niece who had this , she was 11 when this ended her life. I remember she would alway wear this jacket that hooked up to a machine, that would shake her chest area that would help break up the mucus. She could walk for long without coughing, due to her condition. She was a little warrior, she never complained always had a smile on her face . Her favorite food was spicy food lol . I miss her so much. Be strong bro , will be praying for your healing. Keep up the good work.

You are a warrior, sir. It’s okay be scared, but find comfort in the fact that you can fight through this, the lord is with you, always. Don’t beat yourself up for your mistakes, don’t take it hard on yourself for not keeping up with your insulin, you’re going through way too much. All I can say is, have faith.

Sorry you have poor health, my brother lived his entire life with a tumor in his brain stem which slowly paralyzed him, he passed in 2020 at age 60 because his lungs kept filling with liquid. I hope you return to the best health possible for you.

I’m not sure if you will see this comment Jake, but you are such a light in thousands of peoples lives. You have found a passion in helping others and providing happiness within others. You have also found a way where you can directly impact others in the way of helping them purchase consoles. This may seem like a small thing, but to many your videos and your tips can potentially make someone’s entire YEAR. You even helped me get a ps5 from the most recent Walmart drop and that happiness I felt I’m sure every other lucky individual felt as well. Continue fighting and continue being the light. Like in James 1:2-4 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

God Bless and keep you Jake. You have shown so many people what a kind , caring , enduring young man you are. Through harsh adversity,you are teaching valuable life lessons to people. Be not afraid, I know it’s not easy, but you have a community of people that you have touched in so many ways and they love you and are pulling for you including me. Rest and get well.

I bought a new phone and didn't download Twitter or discord to it yet so I haven't seen your posts. I think about you and pray for you everyday. I didn't realize that your younger sister had CF as well. My heart is with the both of you for your health, strength and well being all around. Please keep us updated when you are feeling well enough to do so.

I'm currently having chemo for my stage four cancer, which will most likely kill me in the next 20 or so months. I know spending time in the hospital is uncomfortable and relentlessly boring, so I'm sending you my genuine best wishes for the future.
