This channel is my knowledge to healthcare. I hope people will learn from this channel, so that we, the people of this nation (the USA), can demand the politicians to have affordable and good healthcare like in other countries, e.g., Switzerland, Sweden, Japan, etc. Only in the USA a citizen can go bankrupt because of healthcare costs/debts. You know it's bad when politicians in Captiol Hill do NOT have the tax-disguised ObamaCare but their own high-end special health insurance. Sorry, don't mean to make a political thing out of this, but nothing will happen until the people voice; otherwise, corportions (healthcare for huge profits) will run this country down with healthcare costs. Thank you for all you do! It's funny you mentioned Accenture/SAP/Oracle, etc. All these tech companies are there to profit massively, and the costs get passed down to the patients. A long time ago, I worked with Accenture consultants, who absolutely had no experiences and were cheaply hired and caused a lot of software bugs, which Accenture was too happy to fix, so that they could charge their clients more hours! I am pretty sure it's still going on.

This was a terrific webcast explaining the table of power. As a former benefits consultant, I can attest to the desire to replace the carrier but the reality that they are the consultant's largest trading partner trumps that every time. Well done Dr. Bricker

What are the key differences between disease management solutions and point solutions?

Good question. Some DM programs (e.g. from the carriers themselves) cover many medical conditions… not a specific disease or category. Point solutions are narrower in scope.

Aetna as a health insurance network is a chimpanzee. Rx is only 25% of spend. Medical is 75% of spend… therefore when evaluating carriers, Aetna is not a Gorilla. That you for watching and for your feedback.
