Thank you so much for tuning in! Let me know if you give this banana cake a try or if you have any questions. Also, if you enjoy the video and feel inspired to hit that thumbs up sign, I’d greatly appreciate it!
I very rarely comment, and I very rarely find a recipe that works as described. But DAMN! This is amazing, it tastes 'so' good and is so quick and easy to make! If I could subscribe 1,000 times, I would! 🤩⭐✨ Thank you!
We were literally eating banana bread when your recipe came up. Love the idea of the almond flour and honey. Thanks so much. Definitely going to give it a try.
Hey Everything looks and fantastic but whether in a happy world, are there any chances of going egg free as well ? May be high quality A2 milk will do but I will have to do a lot chickery pockery to get final result.
Hi there! I haven't tested this cake with date paste so can't guarantee the results, but as long as it's a smooth paste (not to thick), I believe it should work. I think any sweet bread straddles the line between bread and cake... I suppose it's simply in the name!
can i make this as a daily snack 😂anyone knows the estimated calories and sugar in one piece ? Im sweet tooth person and struggling with healthy options.
You remind me so much of Kristen Bell. You have such a likeable and sweet energy! This looks so delicious. I can’t have dairy or gluten while healing my gut and this will be a great dessert.
Hi, I tried this recipe today.. and I didn’t wanted to miss this opportunity to thank you for this wonderful recipe.. my cake turned out to be really delicious😋Thank you so much for the perfect measurements.. Love from India❤
Hi there! I wish I had an overhead camera but I shoot these videos in my kitchen with limited gear. You can get the full recipe with a breakdown of all the steps (and photos) here: fromscratchfast.com/healthy-gluten-free-banana-cake-recipe/
Hi Jackie, thanks so much!! You can absolutely omit the chocolate if you prefer (I've found there's a spectrum with regards to paleo). I hope you enjoy!
Hi there! I haven't tested this cake in an air fryer so can't give you a definitive answer. I suggest keeping the temperature and monitoring the cakes carefully. Good luck, and keep me posted!
Hi, thanks so much for wonderful recipe. A fundamental query- what mode of baking I should go for? Top and bottom heat or 4 D air heating? Many thanks.
i recently saw a video from 'Chef Jana' who just started using something she calls 'Banana Biomass,; and apparently it's popular in Brazil....It adds moisture, and i think, creaminess to baked goods and other things....You can use it as a substitute for eggs in some ways....She just steams green bananas, but she does it in the skins....maybe you could also do it without the skins....Here is the video in case you might want to check it out.....ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tiG1zxhB_0g.html
Hi there, and thanks for tuning in! There's no milk in this recipe. If you can't have dairy, simply use a dairy free chocolate (you can use either chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate). Get the full printable recipe here: fromscratchfast.com/healthy-gluten-free-banana-cake-recipe/ I hope you enjoy!
Hi Cheryl, I haven't tested this recipe with regular GF flour so can't guarantee the results, but I will add it to my testing list! Stay tuned, and let me know if you give it a go in the meantime.
I am new to your channel and I am enjoying learning from you! I will be making this recipe however, I have coconut flour, can this be substituted for almond flour?
Hi Michelle, and welcome!! Unfortunately coconut flour isn’t a good swap for almond flour in this recipe, as it absorbs much more liquid and will result in a dense, dry cake. Almond flour is really the way to go for this particular cake. I hope you’re able to give it a try, and please keep in touch!

Hi there! This recipe was designed specifically for almond flour, as it gives the cake loads of moisture and a tender crumb. I don’t recommend what flour, as you’ll have a tougher cake.
Hi there! I’ve tested this cake with flax eggs but unfortunately the texture was way too dense. I haven’t tried aquafaba, but that might be a better bet. Let me know if you give it a go!
Hi Maria! While I haven't tested this cake with coconut oil, it should work just fine (melt it and let it cool slightly before using). I hope you enjoy!
Almond flour is made with ground almonds but is typically finer. However, you can make your own almond flour in a high speed blender such as a Vitamix using raw almonds.
@@FromScratchFast Thank you so much for answering so quickly ! Will definitely try your banana cake and let you know wish you a wonderful day here in this part of the world where I am is night time already...Merry Christmas ⛄❣️
Hi Jacqueline I haven't tested this recipe with oat flour so can't guarantee the results, but I do think it would work. The texture would likely be a bit more dense, but the flavor shouldn't be impacted. I've had a few people ask about alternate flour options so have added it to my testing list. Stay tuned, and let me know if you give it a try in the meantime!

Hi Sophie! I haven't tested this recipe with GF or buckwheat flour so unfortunately can't guarantee the results. However, I do think there's enough moisture from the bananas and honey for it to work. You can try GF flour, and I suggest cutting back the flour to 1 3/4 cups. If the batter looks too wet you can add in more flour (aim for the same consistency you see above). Please let me know if you give it a try!
Thank you so much !!! I didn’t get to do it yet because we ran out of arrowroot/ cornstarch but hopefully will get a chance to try it next week and will let you know how it turns out :) can’t wait to try it
I finally ended up trying it with the gf flour , although the taste was yummy and my kids ate it without complaining the cake was heavy and a bit dry but definitely keeping the icing recipe it was absolutely delicious Thank you ☺️
Hi there! Unfortunately for this cake I've found that flax eggs create a really dense texture, but I wonder if aquafaba would work. I haven't tested it so can't guarantee the results, but let me know if you give it a go!!
@@kwhden unfortunately I've found that flax eggs make this cake much too dense. I haven't tested aquafaba but that might be a better bet if you're looking for a vegan solution. Keep me posted!
Hi there! This recipe is designed to work with almond flour, which has a much higher moisture content than AP flour, so unfortunately it’s not a great swap in this instance.
Hi Nicki! Do you have an amazon store or blog post where you have your favorite kitchen items you use regularly? I'm planning a registry and trying to figure out what items to put on it! Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
Hi Suzanna! This has been on my to-do list for ages, but unfortunately at this time I don't have an online store. Sorry about that! (and p.s. congratulations on the registry!!)
Am I alone in thinking half a cup of honey or maple syrup is hardly healthy in a cake that also contains a cup of banana? Maybe just me but gluten free tick sugar free NOPE
Hi Craig! The term "healthy" is certainly subjective. It might be more accurate to say this is a "healthier" banana cake, as most versions call for a cup or more of white sugar and white flour. But of course, what's healthy for one person might not be for somebody else.
Do you think it would be ok for a diabetic? Im looking for a low sugar cake for my daughter in laws baby shower. She also has high BP. is really think this cake would be good in lue of a sugared up box cake mix
@noralekellogg3880 Congratulations on Grandbaby! BUT honestly, all diabetics are different. For me, I'd say no. But I take pills and 4 shots a day. Have a great party!
