This is by far, the best chocolate dessert we've EVER eaten! It's like brownies, only better! Instead of choc. chips, I chopped up milk chocolate into chunks and covered the top. Some sunk into the batter, yum. My husband has a nut allergy, so no nuts. I've made this twice, and I'm going to the store for more oats and bananas so I can make it again. It's a deep dark chocolate flavor even with the milk choc chunks added, and SO delicious! The second time I made it, I added chocolate frosting! Unbelievably decadent! Our new favorite! Making it now. I used roasted almonds for mine. There are so many things you can do to make it your own like add instant coffee to the mix, or dried cranberries, or dates. My mind is spinning. Thinking of bringing this for Christmas dinner. Thanks again.

Made this today, and absolutely delicious. The oats are delicious with the chocolate. I put pecans on it and it went real well w the oats. Oats chewy and the nuts are crunchy. Yum!

I made this yesterday. I did a little changes to the recipe like adding a few dates to make it sweeter. Came out so good. My husband loves it. A snack we can eat guilty free ❤

I'm Aussie, so naturally, I need to add coconut to this recipe. Might have to fiddle with the liquid volume a bit to accommodate the dedicated cc. But all good....oh and of course vanilla...lots of vanilla. Other spices that might suit the oats/choc flavour are cardamon or cinnamon.

@@Eloshav I’m kinda bummed that I have not been in contact with my granddaughter because of Covid. Her dad, my son, got sick and we have not had the opportunity to try it yet. I just want you to know that this is so beyond wholesome ❤️ I hadn’t been able to see my grandparents when covid hit (mind you I am 25) I saw them thru my window when I was sick and I balled like a baby !!
My Mother in law and my husband both are diabetic. You made me really overwhelmed with joy by sharing this recipe. Now I can bake a healthy cake for them on their birthday or any special occasion. It feels bad when we eat something in front of them and they can't cherish. Thank you so much.
Be careful with this. The sugar content of the bananas are high, fat content of plant based milk or milk - unless skimmed milk or 0% M.F. Is high -, carb count of oats, fat content of dark chocolate and nuts are high. It sucks. My husband is diabetic and he cannot sleep when he eats this which means it spikes his sugar. You’re better off eating 1/2 a banana and a few nuts.
@@amandadupreez6105 It's called dessert. It's supposed to have sugar and fat and carbs. It's healthier than regular chocolate cake or brownies at least.
i think mind needed more time in the oven, but this has a lot of potential for future tries. i spread a little raspberry jam on the top instead of the chocolate and really liked it. i left a piece and also tried orange marmalade on that. the possibilities are endless - thanks for sharing

I made these last night and I’m enjoying them even more today straight from the fridge. They are chewy and not very sweet, even a little bitter since the cocoa powder is so bitter and the sweetness of the banana doesn’t really compensate. The melted chocolate on top really makes them and I wish I had had some walnuts to put on top!

I made it a couple of days ago without the chocolate on top. Is not sweet at all but tastes really good. I mixed some of it with vanilla ice cream - delicious-. I was asked to make some more. Thanks.
Just made this and eating it; still a little warm :-). What a great recipe! I followed it exactly and baked for 40 minutes and it came out perfect. Did not do the additional chocolate swirl on top - already chocolaty enough for me. Great idea to soak the oats in milk. I really like the texture that way. I love that there are 2 eggs and milk - lots of protein. And, of course, the walnuts add lots of other nutrients, besides protein. I do wish it was sweeter. Maybe next time I’ll add a bit of honey. Мне тоже нравятся рецепты Магды из овсянки, гораздо полезнее чем из пшеничной муки. Тем более что Англия - страна овсянки, других круп кроме риса здесь почти нет.

Have this in the oven right now. Added some coconut flakes to mine and used dark chocolate chips right in the batter instead of on top. Also used a little bit of brown sugar cuz I like a little more sweetness. We'll see how it goes in 40 minutes!
Zrobiłam i właśnie kosztuję, jeszcze letnie, bo nie mogłam się doczekać:) Dodałam garść sparzonych rodzynek do ciasta, bo choć ograniczam cukier, obawiałam się, że będzie mi brakowało słodyczy. Bardzo mi smakuje to ciasto. Świetny pomysł, na wykorzystanie płatków owsianych. Z całą pewnością skorzystam jeszcze z innych przepisów z tego kanału. Pozdrawiam z Polski:)
@@bealisa3898 Ja użyłam klasycznego Decomoreno, w ilości tak jak w przepisie. Ilość w sam raz, nie jest za gorzkie. Dla miłośników słodszych ciast, będzie mało słodkie, ale spora garść rodzynek rozwiąże ten ,,problem,, Następnym razem dodam szczyptę cukru waniliowego, dla lekkiego aromatu. Generalnie jest bardzo smaczne, można tam sypnąć co się lubi, jakieś orzechy, słonecznik, itp. Polecam i pozdrawiam:)

@@bealisa3898Robiłam bez czekoladowej polewy, dlatego tym bardziej wydawało mi się mało słodkie. Wiadomo, każdy ma swoje podniebienie, najlepiej modyfikować wg swojego smaku. A jeszcze jedna uwaga, płatki owsiane nie pochłonęły całego gorącego mleka, tak jak na video, nie wiedziałam czy odlewać czy zostawić, ale z obawy, że będzie za rzadkie, dodałam 2 łyżki mąki:) Może zależy od płatków. Ale na wszelki wypadek można trzepnąć troszkę więcej płatków :)Wyszlo takie wilgotne, oj, aż znowu mnie kusi, żeby zrobić. Na pewno Pani wyjdzie:) Pozdrawiam i również życzę wspaniałego popoludnia🤗
