Years ago I had a friend’s mother teach me simple pasta sauces. It’s been over 20 years and I still make them on a fairly regular basis. Mostly light red sauces with various add-ins like tuna in oil, chili, basil or just some Parmesan cheese. Do you have any go-to sauces you could share with us? Red, white or even oil based. Thank you for the inspiration.

Dear Kylie, Great video would love to see you cook more meals! Please don't ever underestimate your worth to your husband. You do realize he could probably not even hire someone to make him dinner, let alone such a delicious one at such a low cost! Your time buying, prep, and probably cleaning. Not even to mention hiring someone as beautiful and pleasant as you are! Please realize your worth. I hope you are not doing this every night.... Just coming home to have you wrapped in a towel lounging on the couch would be the best fantasy of most men. How did you keep the food warm until Guido arrived home? Our food gets cold fast here in Alaska, even when it's warm! Looks yummy. I am going to make the aioli.

Kylie! To begin with, the care and attention you bring to everything you do is so inspiring. I love Italy. The first time I went years and years ago, we stopped in a wee village and went to a trattoria where you had the meal they were making at the time as they do. It was pretty much the meal you made in this video …well, without the beautiful surroundings of your home. Which brings me to another point. Watching you cook in the warm and inviting kitchen which we saw you decorating made me want to redecorate my own kitchen. The atmosphere helps to infuse the meal you are cooking. Your audience can almost smell what Guido ultimately did as he came through the door. (Side note: not only is he the loveliest fellow but he is also such a good sport. He always steps up to the mark when you are filming.) And finally, the food. A friend used to say KISS: keep it simple, stupid! So without going through Machiavellian gourmet cheffy hoops, you made a most scrumptious and beautifully presented meal WHILE PROVIDING A COOKING LESSON, for crying out loud. The scenes during which you reveal where you got the farm fresh ingredients were fun. Oh, dear. I am going on. At any rate, any of those suggestions you made while spinning eighteen plates in the air would be super. Vegetarian, vegan, maybe something that traditionally seems to be scary and complicated but that can be broken down into relatively easy steps for the daunted cook at your skilled hand … . Can you tell I (along with everyone else) enjoyed your video? I think so. Thanks, Kylie!

Whenever I visited my two aunts in Calabria they would fry up some potatoes in olive oil. Good Calabrian potatoes they would say. I love pan cooked potatoes. In fact I made some today for lunch. They were delicious but still not as good as my aunts. Must be the love they put into cooking them for me. Such sweet ladies. Very much enjoyed the cooking show. And, as if he doesn't already know, remind Guido he's a luck man.

This was so beautifully filmed and thanks for the tips. I think I always turn my chicken too soon because I panic when it gets stuck, so I'll try to be more patient now! And I would love to see more Italian inspired dinners in this format so I can satisfy my longing for Italy at least a little bit at home until I can finally travel there:)
