Look I'm no fan of Johnson, but what he is doing is precisely what they were doing to get Trump to accept the Ukraine aid deal in the first place. Flattering him, playing to his ego, encouraging him to do the 'great thing'. You have to understand that it's true that multiple British politicians invested a fair bit of effort in getting him to stop blocking the aid deal, and that's really the only objective in respect of all of this. And they could do this because they were neither his sycophants in the US, nor his opponents in the US, but statesmen from an allied country. Whether the US elects Trump a second time is on the US, no one else.

Johnson has absolutely no clue what he's talking about. The Obama administration started Ukraine on the process of training to use the Javelins and multiple different American weapons systems but his 2nd term was up before the date for their training program to be finished and weapons supplies were due to be handed over. You don't just give a foreign military billions of dollars worth of weapons systems they have never even seen before let alone know how to use without training them on them first. Trump actually fought his Congressional party at first on if they should actually be supplied the weapons and Congressional Republicans talked him into it and then his first Impeachment was for withholding that military aid to Ukraine to try and bribe Zelenski into announcing fake investigations into Biden to try and interfere in our elections.
@@dinaf1409 you do understand that the Ukraine President and Ukrainian leadership at the time of the Crimea invasion and annexation was an installed by Russia Putin puppet that refused US assistance and allowed what happened in Crimea in the first place right. That is what lead to the uprising in Ukraine in 2014 when the citizens of Ukraine forcefully removed him from office and voted in their actual choice of politicians and the country turned completely away from Russia. That is what lead to Putin's invasion of the Donbass region, the region where their mines and majority of their natural resources are located, because he no longer had his puppet in place freely handing all of Ukraine's money over to Russia. That is also when Ukraine started accepting help from the US with their newly elected non Putin puppet government and Obama started the weapons training programs to prepare them before weapons shipments could take place.
