My next Violence cover. AWESOME STUFF!
This song was difficult to get right, but it wasn't slow, if that makes any sense. I had a lot of fun transcribing it and adding my own little spices here and there. I'm honestly quite surprised that I got all the time signatures correct (I think?), as there are certainly a lot of them.
As a side note, I really dislike when people say that this song has a section in 23/4. Technically, yes: two sections of the song are divided into phrases of 23 beats. However, counting 23/4 is pretty much impossible, and it is much easier to think of it as 5/4, then 6/4, then 5/4, then 7/4. In my opinion, those people who say 23/4 are not considering how the music would actually be played.
The art also deserves some talking about. This is my first time making a dome, and I think it turned out well. The title cuts off much of the bottom, but the structure there is meant to be reminiscent of the Gutterman's Shield. The two designs on the left and right are meant to show more futuristic decoration toward the top and more traditional decoration at the bottom, as a reference to the Gutterman's technological advancement and age, and also to the timelessness of war.
Man, I feel like an art critic now.
