53 here, and probably been online longer than you've been born. lol Glad you are checking out one of many of our favorites! Great to see you young ducks listening to some of the real stuff!
To paraphrase Zach (white guy goes to first black cookout): we're old, not stupid. I'm guessing no one under 30 is watching this video... all of us old Zep fans watch to see new generations learn what is brilliant and what is tripe. Zep being brill! We know about YT and their ODD rulings: no need to explain. Peace, love and bellbottoms from Canada.
Did I just witness your life change? Have you heard Yes, Allman Brothers Band, Genesis, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple? What about current musicians like Porcupine Tree and Joseph Arthur? If you love music, you will find many rabbit holes from the '60s and '70s. Enjoy!
It was such a different time back in the 70s. People sat cross-legged and just listened. Led Zeppelin and many other rock bands didn’t really make dance music. I’m 66 and I really enjoyed your reaction. Do what you have to do. We totally understand.
This is the singer's (Robert Plant) favorite LZ song. It's one of their most famous songs. P. Diddy used it for his song for the Godzilla movie soundtrack
Suggestion - Back up 5 or 10 seconds after a pause to get the context & groove back for what is coming. It helps pave over the pause. Music cognition. It's how our brains can make the patch. Over 60 long-time musician here.
This song came out in 1975! And remaster only means the song was converted to a for a better hi fi sound the song is the same song that came out in 1975 nothing added to it
errrr I don't think they played songs like this in a club, a motor cycle club maybe. Oh and this album is 1975'ish . They did have dance music in those days. All this came about due to a holiday in Morocco, which inspired the song, that and the hash hish too probably.
I do understand the copyright issues YT has with letting a creator play through a whole song with no pauses...kind of. I mean, it is what is it is...but I dont understand why YT (and by extension, the artist)) dont understand that this gives the artist exposure to potentially new fans. Wouldn't that help keep them relevant, and also maybe make them a few sheckles in the process? I think YT should let creators do what creators do, and if they get huge Likes and Subs, then pass some of that cash along to the original artist. Am I wrong?
You are mistaken ! YT is not the bad guys here, it's the artist who are causing copyright claims. Older artists got so ripped off over the years that they went to great links to get the rights and masters of their music in an effort to stop the piracy of their music.
Yeah. I'm Glad these kids are Listening 🎧. But your Right! Most like this one aren't Paying Too much Attention to the Music. It's like they're just waiting to Talk!
@@leemcintyre9490 The ones I find super annoying are those who stop the song at a random place just to ask us when the song was made or where the artists are from. Then they push play right away. Like you seriously can't wait until the end of the song to ask that or just freaking google it before it starts? And they do it on every one of their reactions!
Oh, you've got folks older than in their 50's watching you. I'm in my 60's, and no doubt some even in their 70's, I'm sure. I would guess that the majority know you have to pause a couple times so the reaction won't get blocked. It's all good, as long as it's not too excessive. The timing of the pauses matters too..common complaints you'll see are..not in the middle of a guitar solo, especially, or on a long vocal note, things like that. Try to find a rest in the flow of the song if you can. Personally I understand that it's not the kind of music you're used to, so I can go easy on you lol. Some folks, maybe not so much, and others may get angry and rude. You're already doing much better tho. You're pausing less, and I think you are learning to appreciate the music more, and that's great to see. I enjoy your Zeppelin reactions, and I was really happy to see you digging Kashmir! Here's one for you to try, check out "No Quarter".
