So Plaskett gets her 10 minutes! She has such a sharp mind that she cannot perceive what this hearing is for. As a delegate and not a member wouldn’t she be liable for her lies and misrepresentation of President Trump! She should at least be censured!
Wow.. That opening statement by the Democrats was moving and powerful. her description of what is going on was scarily accurate. But I am sure she was completely oblivious that she was describing her own parties effects on Democracy and ho they are tearing it down in the name of Democracy itself. In their eyes you can't support someones rights unless it is by suppressing other's rights. U can't have progress unless its through destroying and denying the past. I am serious, not joking, ,compare her description of the Death of Democracy to how things are today under the Democrats heals. so accurate.
She really has always been unhinged, but because all hands are on deck for the election, she is even worse. Never uses facts and always takes other's words out of context.
What was funny to me was that the GOP claimed originally that the Trump trial was corrupt lawfare and instead of rebutting that claim the democrats used their opening statement not to explain how the Trump trial was in fact fair, but instead used their time to explain why it needed to happen

Why is Wu bringing up project 2025? In fact why is anyone bringing it up? I watched a video by supposedly the people who drafted this document and it's not one time did they mention Donald Trump. The only thing they said regarding the president any president, was that they hope the next Republican president or maybe one down the line would take this into consideration.
Ms. Plaskett's opening remarks are beautiful! Moving! Prescient! And O so pathetically hypocritical. It's ironic that she would quote Adams--who was right: Democracies are indeed suicidal. Thus why our Founding Fathers created, in our republic, an even more widely dispersed system of power decentralization than the Romans envisioned in the sixth century BC. But Ms. Plaskett and her fellow travelers are willfully blind to the reality that it is THEY who have been systematically, methodically, and deliberately working to destroy this last, best hope for freedom (NOT "fweedom," as Harris plagiarized). It was THEY who, from their beginning, sought to undermine the Founders' experiment. It was THEY who decided to leverage the reality of John Adams' dire warning (and, sadly, prophecy): "Avarice, Ambition, Revenge or Gallantry, would break the strongest Cords of our Constitution as a Whale goes through a Net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." The Democratic Party has chosen to cast its lot with the Neo-Marxist "morality," and to strive with all its might to grasp power by any means necessary, as has been demonstrated time over time.
wait..........um.......I'm not a lawyer but.....Armstrong and Wilson tried to make the argument that the fat guy and his team did not know what the underlying charges in New York were till the end or after the trial......? I didn't follow the whole thing but I remember myself knowing before the trial actually started or soon after it had started so......If I knew...why didn't they?
One of the problems I have with hearings is when a/any member is allowed to go on a diatribe which has NOTHING to do with the subject of the hearing. Case in point: Rep Wasserman-Schultz. Hers was all about abortion, and wrongly accusing Trump of adopting the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025. I wish someone would move to strike the words from the record, as it was not germane to the subject. Please amend the House Rules to reflect this, which would facilitate order and help eliminate 'campaigning' and trying to get 'brownie points' for your party. Reps - you have to lead by example and show more civility. Please!!!!
The Federal Government should not be accused of weaponizing its authority every time a politician is prosecuted for committing crimes that would land everyday Americans in jail. In other words, if I was a corrupt politician, I too would try to avoid future prosecution by claiming political persecution.
Then why haven't there been further investigations into then VP Biden's handling of Ukraine, withholding funds until they fired the Ukrainian attorney general investigating the company that his son was a part of.
