I didn't know creep exited until the new guardians film (I'm not a radio head fan) Ngl from the songs I've heard from them it's wild that's that's there no.1
Do you like Radiohead? Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Kid A came out in 2000 I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Thom Yorke has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
From what i’ve seen people generally rank it under stuff like ok computer, kid a, and in rainbows, but above, say, amnesiac and the king of limbs. It’s definitely top 5 imo.
This is from Equilibrium btw, on my top 5 movies ever! It's a rollercoaster of emotions and empathy, mixed with SSS-tier action. C.Bale for me was in his apex in this movie!
Scene is from Equilibrium. The film is about a dystopia future where all art and expressions of emotions are outlawed with extreme consequences for violators. All people are given a mandatory inject to suppress their emotions. The man is this scene is an enforcement officer who misses a dose and begins to experience feelings and emotions. Also, since all art is outlawed that means music as well. This was his 1st time feeling any emotion and then hearing music for the 1st time as well. Imagine how he may have felt. It make me appreciate the life I have where I feel happiness. Sure we also feel sadness. But the joy we feel can outweigh the turmoil. We can start to appreciate what we have instead of wishing we had more. Live in the moment and take it all in.
As a lifelong lover of Paranoid Android, Creep, Arpeggi, House of Cards and Exit Music for a film, this is exactly what it felt like listening to Idioteque for the first time. Actually, this is how it feels like listening to it even today.
I finally listened to radiohead (because I got a girlfriend so I don't need to worry about radiohead fan syndrome) and I'm surprised how good it actually is. I was scared of enjoying it before incase I became one of you guys, no offense update : two month anniversary today, we just broke up. in rainbows here I come...
Prior to today I've only ever known about the song "Creep", but today all that changed when I heard "Jigsaw Falling into Place" for the first time...this was indeed my reaction and now I want more of it
spirits they've gone is trash tho. but, not really, in actuality. it reminds me of my first girl, she had this little black cat named Alvin. ah my life has been endless misery since then
I first heard Radiohead in 1995 at a friends house. Somehow, I missed the Creep era. The Bends was playing at a friend’s house. I teared up when I heard Fake Plastic Trees. That album was so good, I cried.
When i'm watch this video 4 month ago i was in a very sick state and i often rewatching this video many times because it soothed me. 4 month later i again rewatching this video and remember that state. This video has a narcotic effect.
i remember as a kid my dad playing this song in the basment and recently ive gone back and listend to more radiohead(the bends, a moonshaped pool and ok computer) and i have to say radiohead is one of if not my fav band ever now
I remember the first Radiohead song i heard was 'no suprises'. I had heard it at home and then l8r that day we went to Home Depot and the lyrics were stuck in my head- I actually searched them up, found the song on soundcloud and played it on low volume with my phone to my ear while i was waiting for my parents to get the stuff they needed. such an amazing band, no suprises is also the first song i learned to play on my new electric guitar i got later that year :)
i was just 16, meeting with a new group of friends in the afternoon to listen to some music, and i thought that to fit i'd have to falsely appreciate the cds the other guys brought. didn't had to, i found a little place of comfort, some likeminded souls and some incredible music. i carry the memory of those friends fondly, and radiohead have been a staple in my listenings since then
For me this meme is actually canon lol. I watched the movie today because of it and somehow that piece from Bethoven didn't even feel that powerful, touching or eye-opening. While this song SLAPS and spins you into a whirlpool of emotions immediately
first song i heard from Radiohead was weird fishes, heard it in a Brad taste in music video and that and present tense are some of the most beautiful songs I've heard. love this band sm
I don't remember the first time I heard them, growing up my dad had the CDs for Hail to the Thief, The Bends, Kid A and OK Computer. Grateful to have grown up with them but sad I couldn't experience their entire discography as a sentient adult for the first time
I think the first song I listened to knowing that it was radiohead/ seeking out the artist and seeing it was was weird fishes. I feel that way about stuff like pinback, deathcab for cutie, and arcade fire
i remember it too damn well,.. in 2006 being a 14 yo, went to a classmate home and we borrowed some of his older brother music albums.. airbag started and i got this insurmountable feeling of curiosity with some awe mixed in, and i just knew i had found something.. massive moment
yessir. for me, moonshaped pool was such a masterpiece, and greatly inspired my music. I remember hearing decks dark at age 14 and thinking 'How can i produce ambient sounds like this'? from then I started evolving the type of music I was making. If anyone wants to listen to my music/first album, feel free to check it out on my channel and sub for more in future. If you like post-2000s radiohead, I think you will definitely like a lot of my music.
First time i heard Radiohead, the song called "Iron Lung" it put me into a sad but happy like idk what's goin on but when the chorus hits in, BURST OF EMOTION. I fell in love.
Still hilarious when I hear Ful Stop, what always comes to mind is the meme of Jonny Greenwood glaring with Thom dancing on his synthesizer while performing this song live 😂
I came across Radiohead while watching an anime called "Ergo Proxy". The show's ending theme was Paranoid Android, loved that song so started listening to them here and there. Y'all should watch the anime too, it's lowkey brilliant
Inaccurate. You hear Creep, you get hooked, you look up more, you say wtf are these, you get hooked, you look up more. This is the real initiation sequence.
Weird that this video apparently appeared on my feed after I actually I listened to my first Radiohead song(the song was Creep) in the morning lol, I was surprised how good their are.
*THE NAME OF THE MOVIE:* is Equilibrium. It's a scifi with Christian Bale and Sean Bean where humanity has traded their emotions to maintain world peace (that's a very basic rundown). The movie is SOOO good :D
RH: Jigsaw falling into place So there is nothing to explain You eye each other as you pass She looks back, you look back Not just once Not just twice ♫ Me:
@@maxdamenace I love all the songs but my favorite is How To Disappear Completely and Optimistic, and National Anthem too...and Motion Picture Soundtrack...and Everything In Its Right Place...yea I love the whole album
I remember hearing bits of the bends and ok computer as a 10 year old and knowing it was grownup music that I would return to one day. As a 16 yo return I certainly did
