Heart monitoring at home in rural areas is still a significant issue however whereas wifi is very difficult to maintain as it comes and goes and yes or in cases where wifi is not available at all, and yes, even in 2021, causing data not to be recorded. Yet insurance is still charged to patient for a device in which wifi is not available at all or not available all the time in rural areas.... Something all wifi dependent devices need to work on.
Sorry Medtronic Linq is better in my opinion, between the undersensing, signal drop out, battery longevity, not to mention trying to help a pt who is 90+ send a transmission from a smartphone or one provided is challenging.
Personally, I want NOTHING that transmits automatically, nothing that is not protected with a 17 digit password, No unencrypted data transmission, and nothing not under my total control. I have no Wi-Fi in my home, but do have a Dell Server and 9 operational computers hard wired to my tightly controlled network. Wi-Fi is for fools who do not understand Supreme Court Decisions concerning signals passed over airwaves.
