As someone who has recently lost a great dad , i can relate to how hard it must be for matt at this time. Its not until they are gone,that you truly appreciate just how great they were.

Matt you are doing a beyond amazing job. Thank you for your life choice to do what you do. It is helping so many of us during all this covid shut down . it's hurt and killed a lot of people. Not just the virus, but many have taken their own lives because of lock down . if they would have seen your wheels through time videos, and or kaplan seniors videos they may have wanted to stay around . because you calm people and give people hope and passion . I've bought 6 motorcycles since covid..i have made a mini home museum to stay sane. Thank you guys. God bless your pops. He was and is still Awsome.." What did you do today, what are you doing right now"👍👍needed to hear that. God bless Us all

It's so good to know that Matt is driven by the values that were instilled into him by his Father. Matt has not inherited WTT - WTT has inherited Matt. Thank you both for taking the time to conduct this interview, I found it to be fascinating on many levels.

If that couch could tell storys... I remember napping on it while Dale and my father would hammer out bikes. So many story's from running around the back museum in Illinois where Matt stored his old pocket race bikes to camping in the pavilion infront of the Maggie Valley museum with a foot of snow on the ground. I remember Dale exactly how Matt described his father... he was 110% go... trying to keep up with him at swapmeets was near impossible. I still refer to him as "crazy dale".

I got Matt to fire up the Traub 3 months ago when I was out there. Was pretty awesome. Took a video. Also got to see the Brittan at Barber museum 2 weeks earlier. The yellow and black one even ran at Elkhart lake road america near me 2 years ago. Was awesome to see it go. Rider was even wheelieing it up the hill straight.

It has been a joy to visit the museum and watch a father and son work together on the show with no drama . All content. Unlike the nonsense of other motorcycle build shows.

Drinking out of my WTT coffee mug as I watch this! My wife and I visited the museum this past Mon. It was the day after the raffle, didn't win but the museum is such a great place to go visit. If you love motorcycles and you probably do if you're watching this, you need to check out WTT. Dale was a master at his craft and Matt is carrying on in fine fashion. His Dad has to be very proud of him.

Matt, there is a guy named Keenan Tatro with a shop in California. His shop is "Tatro Machine". The shop is a old place that was passed down to him from his Dad and to him from his father. He is online and in RU-vid. It would serve you both well if you guys connected. At first he comes off a bit hrsh. But, once you take a look at what his purpose is, anyone would be impressed. He is a good man and a helluva bike guy. Look him up. Have a good one and take it easy!!!
@keithlim6749
@keithlim6749 3 года назад
what you make of it, Yes you are absolutely correct.Tatro is in San Diego,Ca. He rebuilt my shovel after two previous rebuilds by others. The shovel runs better than ever. I personally watched him rebuild most of the motor where a lot of builders would never allow that. The entire rebuild from start to finish to riding the bike to his shop to show the finished product is on You Tube. I was fortunate enough to visit Wheels Through Time last Oct. 2020. I need to go back several times because you can’t see it all in one visit.Great interview Kap and Matt !

Great interview Kap ! I’m enjoying all your recent videos regarding the Maggie Valley,Deals Gap area.This is for Matt, I met you in Sedona,Az. a few years back. You were at a souvenir shop and you saw I was riding my Hog.You told me about your Dad’s museum and gave me a business card which I’m going crazy trying to find it because I misplaced it. I told myself one of these days I’ll visit and that happened last Oct. 2020. The day I was there, you were giving someone a ride in a sidecar and it was hauling ass.I was impressed ! Sorry about your Dad.May God Bless Him. I can relate because I lost my Dad in July 2020. Keep up the awesome work carrying on your father’s leagacy,

Engaging interview with The Maestro Of Antique American Motorcycles. Do you realise how much 'motorcycle mechanical technical data' is between Matt`s ears ?? Racks & racks of engine manuals, too many pages to count, all up there in his grey matter !! Dale Walksler had the EXTRA-ORDINARY energy level of an F5 tornado; even on rare 'down days' The Man blew a F3. Yeow ! Ain`t driven like him, but i agree with your pa`s adage: 'If you aren`t moving, nothin`s getting done !' I`m the same vintage as Dale. Rode motorcycles for 30 years, dirt & street. Mostly highways...Nowadays i find that if my head & body aren`t in-sync, not much of anything important gets accomplished, so my best hours are in the morning. Sounds like Dale was "IN SYNC" (all his life) !! Matt, i surely hope your daughter HONORS you, as you have honored your AMAZING Dad. In my humble opinion, you both are beyond REMARKABLE. In the end, when the dust settles, The Builders will inherit what`s left, & put it all back together again......

Matt Im so sorry for your loss. I worked for a man in Okla. just like your Pops. He had White Steamers, Rolls Royces, Henderson motorcycle, etc. The Atlas shaper he had when I was 14, I now run and own. I loved him like another Grandpa. He was just like your Pops. My 1917 Henderson languished 4 years with another Matt. I called Dale and followed his advice. Wish I could have met him. I plan on meeting you someday. Greg.

Before I go to bed each night I have a pretty lengthy routine I follow as equally as with a religion. There are certain names of impact that remain in my mind and must be said aloud every day. Among the names I hold dear to History is Dale Walksler...right there next to Ace Elliott. This helps me in there absence and is done out of the purest of love and respect. Thank you Matt for all you are doing to preserve the history of the men as well as the machines that have molded the character of this greatest of Nations. FTW

Kapt America 🇺🇸 this is the 3rd video with Matt and its nice to see a great video from the holy place I now live on two wheels and owe it to Dale I was 40 and decided that if I was going to get a bike I better do it while I'm still able to throw a leg up over a bike and grew up in the dirt but now I have a 600rr and can't wait until the weather gets better and my cousin lives down the street from the museum so we'll get a chance to see a national treasure that is the inspiration for the entire world to see how our great grandparents were living with bikes doing 100 mph and no brakes and the reason why we call it the greatest generation 💯
