I have seen arnel in hongkong for 15 years and he gained my respect until now he did amazing performances on stage or diff.exibition.some of the journey.s fronfmen stayed at least 6_9 years except arnel he is with journey for 17 years now.

I couldn't contain myself & get over the excitement when my brother told me that Arnel Pineda is the new singer of Journey. I'm a big fan of Steve Perry & considered him as one of the greatest voices of all time. And if there's any male vocalist worth replacing him, Arnel is THE ONE.

Arnel Pineda is already a legend in the LIVE BANDS music scene in the Philippines. Well-respected & a natural-born talent. I've never met him personally but my brother & his band did esp. during the AMO Band years & only heard great & overwhelming things about him. I just saw him singing a "HEART" song while passing by this club one time & I was totally blown away. It's true what they say about him. IMPAKTO talaga, 'ika nga. Mala-out of this world baga.

The only male singer I know that can sing "HEART" songs in the original key!!! Daig pa nga niya 'yung ibang female vocalists that tries to sing "ALONE" or "WHAT ABOUT LOVE". I've listened to almost every song he has here on RU-vid & couldn't believe this guy's vocal skills. Be it Aerosmith, Bryan Adams, Air Supply, TOTO, etc. YOU NAME IT, HE CAN SING IT!!!

I remember searching for Cheap Trick. I saw "the flame" and listened to it without watching the video. was surprised it wasnt C.H. but the zoo. I lived here in hawaii and told my coworkers from the Philippines. that was around Aug.'07. soon the world knew about A.P. Everybody was talking about who heard him first. I broke out my cd that i burned and said "i win". still remember 80 something Filipino man walking down the stree with. Journey World Tour t-shirt. only one word came to mind. Respect!

I'm really thankful that Arnel is living his dream right now - - as in world-wide - - and JOURNEY!!! It's like every Pinoy rock band's dream to just even perform side by side with their idol. And, yet, Arnel got to be the new lead vocalist. It's about time, kababayan!!! 'Coz the dream of other struggling Pinoy musicicans is living in you right now, too. Itaas mo ang bandila natin.

Please! You just insulted this great vocalist. This guy is so much better than Steve Perry . SP was a rocker wannabe, he became rocker because of Journey. He should have been a pop artist but with the competition against MJ, Richie, or group Bee Gees he wouldn't be where he was. SP needed Journey as much as they needed him. Now it's proven without SP, Journey is very much alive. It's now 2016 and they're selling their concert venues. AT&T park stadium is almost sold out for September 4, 2016 prices ranging from $175.00 to more than $3k a seat. SP's last solo album, for the love of medicine, was not even near platinum.

I just discovered Journey via this guy. So these are the songs Neal Schon and his team watched. Apparently they watched some of his 40 or 60 videos before he got to America.

What's more unbelievable is the 1:1 copy of Steve Perry's voice. It's really Steve Perry's voice in every aspect & technique. It's so uncanny! Arnel just added a bit more husky flavor to it now, to make it more rock-ish & soulful than Steve Perry which is a good thing.
