Surgeons at St Mary's Hospital, part of Imperial College Healthcare have come up with a new surgical procedure that cures heartburn with a device called RefluxStop.
Mr Ahmed Ahmed, a consultant surgeon, says surgery should now be seen as an alternative to life-long drug treatment - as Sky's Thomas Moore reports.

wow! Incredible! I've been researching the TIF procedure, what with my hiatus hernia but now I see there is a new procedure. It's frustrating that GIs push PPIs or H2s and ignore or discount LPR as a diagnosis and ultimately dismiss correcting the hernia as a real fix.

I was recently diagnosed with this but the only symptom was constant nausea and then bam I ended up in hospital and they told me then I need to take omeprazole for life. I don’t have heartburn or reflux symptoms. Was perplexed to be honest but I have been taking lactase digestive enzymes and can’t believe the difference!

When it will introduce in india or the procedure are going on to introduce this surgery in india.please help people in India .toomany Indians also sufferd by gerd. I am 19 years old struggling with gerd. Please reply as soon as possible😢
