I've always liked White Queen for three reasons. 6 power isn't bad, you get more card advantage, and most importantly, you get information on your opponent's hand. I've played it and gotten an Infinaut from my opponent, which meant that I know to hold my Shang Chi or whatever. It's not the best card, and I can't say a lot because I JUST got into pool 3, but I still don't think the card is bad. It's just not busted.
Exactly right Emma frost is used because she enables you to strategize around your opponent strongest card. 4/6 is below average, 4/8 is average but that's not the point of the card. Also, she synergized with dino and collector and quinjet
I think with there being a limited number of meta decks, experienced players can often put up a pretty good guess about what is being played by turn 4 anyways.
She shines in pool 1/2 devil dino and collector decks. Not much use after that tbh. If youve seen 4 turns of ur opponents cards, u likely kno what deck theyre on and what their win cons are. No need to spend ur whole turn 4 to get that info i feel.
Watching this a month on and was coming to comment because that was my main quibble. You’ll rarely play the card she pulls (thought it happens) but knowing what your opponent is doing or if they’ve got what they need in hand is very useful.
I think White Queen is not bad if one is just breaking into Pool 3 and has not yet any of those insane 6 power cards from there. Also, of course in a devil dinosaur deck if someone is playing that, thus probably still in pool 2.
@@Deadeye7177 If you play white queen, you know what power card they have. If they play white queen, you know that they know what you have, and can match it. In the end I feel like you give them as much information as you gain in many ways.
here is my counter argue: the only deck where you play this card, you don't even want to play it ===>devil dinosaur deck. On turn 4 you want to play moongirl with dino in your hand, not white queen. it is a good valuable card when you are stuck in pool 2 decks, but after this she is just bad
oh my gosh I have always loved these styles of videos! great work Kawa, Jordan actually had some amazing reads on the cards, like probably a better read on them than I did initially.
White queen is widely considered one of the best cards bue to being able to gain info on your opponent and being able to counter their play with the same play depending on the card
I disagree with what y’all said about White Queen. The value is you get to see what’s in their hand on turn 4 so you know how the rest of the game will go so you know if you should retreat or snap. At 6 power she’s not bad tempo and works fine in Dino/ collector decks. I’d say she’s good but not great and really good in the vacuum of pool 2 when folks are still learning the game.
White Queen is pretty good at least in Pool 2 imo. She has won me a couple of games in the Devil Dino mirror match when you get two dinos and the opponent only has one, also she fills your hand up for Devil Dino and Collector. She also allows you to feel safer when playing around cards - if you're playing against an On Reveal deck and play this on T4, and don't draw an enemy Odin, there's only a 1/3 chance the opponent draws Odin by T6 so you can assume they don't have it and more often than not you'd be right. 6 Power for 4 Energy also isn't that bad.
My Leader story is I was playing Discard. They had Wong on Kamar-Taj. They got Leader from Grand Central location on turn 5 and I had played Lady Sif on Kamar Taj. They discarded every card in their hand going into turn 6. From their emotes it seemed like they didn't know what happened.
White queen is not used for the power or for the card you get. It's used to know the battlefield, knowing what your enemy has is always super helpful in any game
It's awesome to see some more creative content around Snap. Most of what you see are tier lists and deck highlights but the creative stuff like this and Jeopardy are such a breath of fresh air, great stuff!
I consider White Queen to be quite good actually. For the most part I won't be using the opponent's highest cost card but it sure does give me intel on what they might do with the highest cost card (hopefully being a 6 cost card). For example, I might get a copy of the opponent's Hulk or Infinaut and because I know their card is above 9 power, I will probably take out their card with Shang Chi, assuming I have priority. Not only that but 6 power for a 4 cost card on top of the intel you receive is a nice cherry on top.
Leader seems like that is only beaten by specific decks, things that play something that complement everything they already did, like Onslaught/Destroyer/Heimdall/Hela, but really messes up those that are just saving the 6th turn for a big drop.
I know I'm a month late, but there are some things I like to add. There are indeed some cards that Leader doesn't really benefit from copying, unless the player has played certain other cards before. If you play a Surfer deck with a lot of three cards and play Surfer on turn 6 to buff those cards - if your opponent plays leader but has no 3 energy cards on the board, he loses. Leader is still busted though and definitely needs a nerf. Also, there is one really big advantage by playing White Queen that you did not mention, and it's just the fact that you might find out what the opponent's endgame is. You will find out what they are probably going to play on turn 6, which is a big advantage.
I disagree with the white queen assessment. Shes not a meta broken card but she is a good card. She gives you so much information as to what's in their hand. Most times I havnt played the card its drawn but my turn 5 and 6 are so much more informed. Won me many games
Seems like people underjudge information a lot, cards like white queen yondu and mantis all give you information about the opponents deck, yondu and mantis blow it up, but white queen lets you counter, so if you know they are dropping hulk, you can just be like ok, so am i we cancel eachother out. if they dont have a 6 in their hand then its possible yondu might snipe their 6 on the next draw, i feel like getting information is always super good in card games.
I mean, I have to agree with ALL of the comments down here - White Queen is a good card. Six power for 4 energy is a good stat AND you get a free card. And I think in a game where you do not get mamy draw, that is a good effect. You get to know your opponent's deck much better so it works fine with control, it obviously makes a good combo with Devil Dunosaur (and here he is VERY frequent, I see her a lot) and she just gives you more option. She is not an S-Tier card, but she is a good or maybe even very good card.
Crystal is amazing and I am sick of people dunking on her, You don't always need her but to be able to reset for combo is invaluable, She doesn't slot into every deck but she can and will save you games, These videos in general do not work, Snap cards are a very different beast to hearthstone or other contemporaries, Some cards only work in 1 or 2 types of decks but that doesn't make them bad, Theres soo many cards for this game and only a 12 card deck, It doesn't act like a regular deck builder, Its absolutely fine for a card to work in 1 specific archetype
I feel like Kawa misrepresented the Snap cards. Leader is ok at best. Most decks are not raw stats but rather synergistic, so copying a spectrum or destroyer or even devil Dino isn’t a winning play. Also White Queen is one of the best answers to the popular Death Wave deck by copying the Death which has a symmetrical cost reduction.
Talking about Leader, it reminded me of when I played morph on the location that filled the entire location with the played card. I got Odin so it took about a minute and a half to finish the activate reveal cards loop. I'm so glad they coded it to end the loop in the case of this happening.
Showing leader and then showing destroyer is troll af lol… I disagree with your leader assessment. Lots of time yeah you just get more power but lots of time your opponents turn 6 is specifically beneficial to their decks and board states. Like destroyer lol
Omg ... Is White Queen that bad ? For real ? I mean, for me is one of my favorite cards on my Dino Deck... I like playing Storm into White Queen, she is has a good chance to seal the location with her 6 attack on turn 4 and also you get info on a potential finisher from your opponent, not to mention, more often than not you have a good chance to get another Dino, an Infinaut, an Odin, a Hulk or whatever high value card they have in their hand ... She is probably not that good on high level combo decks, but for people on pool 2 or early pool 3 I dare to say she is one of the best 4s.
White Queen is great for checking the opponents highest card at the time, if it can sus out the 6 cost you can play around it I.E : Your opponent has Magneto you know to play around it type of deal. I don't think she's busted, but I find her quite good. Then again I've only been playing since official launch and I'm sitting at 789 collection, so maybe my opinion is slanted.
bruh white queen slander...shes perfect counter for destroyer all the benefit you get from her is huge, information, mirror play, and you can anticipate alot with her
From the extremely limited amount of Snap Streams I saw before this I saw a lot of retreating and assumed that was normal to save the cube from doubling
@@alucardjp1 to be fair. That's quite true.. but just the card itself is really strong in itself.. so yea.. maybe at least not copy the buffs would suffice idk
