(Hearthstone) Secret Stealth Rogue Slog 

I don't think the secret and stealth stuff will end up fitting together. Stealth is more aggressive, secret is more defensive.

A rogue stealth deck has been on the verge of working in the past and one figured one one thing with that: Never. Ever. Again! It's a cool deck for sure but the way you interact with most minions is by targeting them. Charge had the problem of giving you no time to do so, stealth prevents it instead. The only way to combat the deck (and remember this was still not a massively powerful deck either) was with untargetable taunts which... There weren't many of before and there's even fewer now, except in druid. So... For q successful or at all effective stealth rogue deck to work it has to be faster and hit harder than what druids are able to ramp. That would mean that rogues would counter everything that wasn't druid, druid counters rogue and you'd still be left with needing something to counter druid. Stealth is a cool mechanic but the way it works in Hearthstone... It wouldn't make for fun gsmeplay.

@@ArgentumEmperio You need some uninteractive mechanics to make aggression work in a Rush meta. You can still defend with Taunts, AoE and lifegain, so every class has their options. Personally, I really hope the Stealth stuff works out as I'm not excited for another greedy highroll meta.

I suspect secret galakrond might be the better pairing but maybe not

the stealth will be stronger after the second expansion on the year comes out.

@ubadman1 Hearthstone has a history of releasing the ''start'' of an archetype and then never giving it more support in the whole year so i wouldn't be too sure about that

Different class from the secret's class I guess.

It discovers a secret from a different class to the one you played. So at that timestamp he played a rogue secret, picked from between paladin/hunter/mage, then picked a hunter secret, played it, and picked from between paladin/mage/rogue.

@@BovineIntervention the deck ran out of gas very fast Vs a really bad deck. The secret package is great and all but this deck isn't

@@atlas6538 Not sure if you know what gas is or not. Running out of gas is when a priest ja healing to full and playing giant threats and the tempo is swinging in their favor it doesnt matter if you go to fatigue vs someone spamming aoe clears when they have 7 health left and then die.

The top comment of this comment section sums exactly what the dude was trying to say extremely well: "It definitely felt like both decks just ran out of steam about half way through so we had to just watch them flail pathetically at one another until one eeked out a win." 'Gas' doesn't literally mean cards in this sense, it's acceleration. You can see both decks go from playing a bunch of cards to playing one, maybe two, cards on a turn. Sure, the priest had that one turn where he turbo buffed that dude, but that was it for him, he had nothing left to really swing back with. Kibler's deck, on the other hand, felt like it's too reliant on that one secret generating card and nothing else. It just doesn't do anything.

Edwin is such a good card, I doubt you won't play it because it has a bit of anti synergy with bamboozle. Also, you still have to deal with a six drop afterwards which is not bad

I would be hesitant to run bamboozle in the same package as edwin or akama. Definitely only 1.

You can just not have them in play at the same time. Most games are going to have a lot of minion combat so bamboozle shouldn't sit in play for ages, it shouldn't be too difficult to just wait for a better opportunity if you don't want to risk trading one of those for a random 6-drop.

Reasonable is already a strong word honestly, he drew secretkeeper into secrets and then spent the entire midgame developing absolutely no tempo

@@JoelDZ yeah he spent a few turns just playing secrets which is awesome in some cases it can be infinite value

@@asii97 He had no pressure against a priest the whole game, and only barely managed to squeak out a win after drawing his entire deck

@@JoelDZ i mean you can just the legendary plus a secret .. it dosnt hurt the deck and you have the possiblity to do the chain at any point when you draw both

@@asii97 I'm talking about pressure and tempo, not card advantage. This deck doesn't get on the board very well, is what I'm trying to say. Even with the dream opening of a secretkeeper into a bunch of secrets it just fizzles

Probably to use more new cards, but I agree Eviserate would've made sense.

Infinite secrets if your opponent cant kill the hanar does seem good imo

I think the secret and stealth packages are both strong but when used together they sabotage each other. Combining either with galakrond support seems better.

It's hardly refined. The stealth stuff probably works a lot better in a deck more built for aggro, whereas the secret stuff doesn't do that very well. It'll be interesting to see if either archetype can carve a place in the meta.

this
