You fool it's simple really you play barns, then you summon blood of the ancient one. Bring him back in then play him again, summon another blood of the ancient one, then BOOM the ANCIENT ONE!!!! Believe me it works 90% of the time, I learn from master darkkmane, he is rank 30 you know.

If someone managed to get that out against me and I had a weapon I'd be compelled to attack it and die in glorious battle.

I think the best ancient one deck would have to be a brann shadowcaster deck

I used Faceless Manipulator + Polimorph once on the Ancient One. It wasn't all terrible for him. At least he got a sheep.

Run it with Volazj or in Rogue with Shadowcasers.

Kripp you gotta try this card with rogue, Gang up Brann Shadowcaster leads to some very interesting interactions, I only run one of the bloods, you can also still run a very effective early game

To be honest, i'm finding Hearthstone pretty boring to play in Standard... it is really diffcult to push a new control deck, everything is Gimmick or needs Combo cards.

I added Blood of the Ancient one along with Faceless Manipulator to a Warlock deck, and got The Ancient One summoned on my first game along with being able to attack and win the game with it. I don't think you need to go to all the trouble you did to actually be able to play Blood of the Ancient One and have it survive. My time spent changing my deck and playing the game to get this to work--approximately 8 minutes.You spent way more time than needed in order to have the card come into play.

what about the shadowcaster on rogue ? or he's best bet is resurect?

You could've played rogue and stealthed it until you got out that one shadow shaper thing to make it a 1 mana minion later. I dunno, just a though.

I have a fair amount of success with my Priest Blood deck, its very similar with a ton of spells but basically you run enough minions in the deck to exhaust their removal, and even probably sacrifice one of the bloods, and at the end of the game you play a blood wait til next turn and then drop Herald Volajz

Aviana + Coin seems like a good way to play them both in the same turn (or innervate, so yeah)

I've tried the Ancient one with warrior, while also including Varian Wrynn and Y'sharrj. I summoned it once, had some epic feels, then went back to playing good decks.

Easiest card to play with naga sea witch

The way you play this deck is choosing a Rogue and concealing the first Ancient One. Basically a miracle rogue with Gadgetzan to cycle (draw) cards. It's not a top tier deck ofc but it does win games.

I tried to use my golden blood of the ancient one today after 5 loses I decided to dust it and move on with my life.

I think we should forget about how cool the video is and just remember that Kripp has started uploading 2 times a day

at the time of the video I don't know if you have the cards at the time but, would it not be easier to summon him threw druid or shaman? with druid you have "Aviana" and "Kun the Forgotten king" combo that might have gone better, and then Shaman you use "Ancestral Spirit" and "N'Zoth. the Corruptor"? I am a newer player so I don't know if those would have worked out in the end, but those are the combos I could think of that may have helped make the experience less stressful and you would not have to worry so much about not having to many higher level cards in your deck.

Why not Herald Voljaz?

In Rogue, Blood of the Ancient 1 serves as a one of. Showcaster (especially with Brann) makes it far more viable. The weakness of this version is there are only 3 cards to add to the 1, however in rogue Thistle Tea, Faceless, and so on make it much more viable.

If only they turn Ancient One into Fairy Dragon + Howling Yeti. Untargetable by spell and can only attack minion

You could also try it in Rogue with: *Shadowcaster* and *Conceal* With *Brann Bronzebeard*, you could probably summon like 2x *Ancient One*, right?

Am I doing something wrong by trying to use Aviana to create the Ancient one? The way I see it even if they kill the ancient one I still got Aviana out, leaving aviana on board can be a huge mistake.

i play blood of the ancient one in my priest deck, which has plenty of other creatures. I've gotten 2 ancient ones out at the same time, twice! Hint, there is a certain legendary that makes cards cheaper, and another that makes 1/1 copies, and other cards that copy or make copies of cards as well, so have fun!

they should change it so it has the text "cannot be one-card destroyed" so it can't just be like "shadow word death" no it has to be damage spells and brawl

actually what does work is playing the Ancient on Druid, all you need is to wait till 10 mana and play whatever u want and make sure u have 2 Innervates and a faceless on hand. So turn 10 you play Blood, both Innervates and have 5 Mana left for Faceless.

Blood of the ancient one, conceal. Next turn second BotAO Faceless Manipulator or Shadowcaster. Bonus points for playing Brann with your Shadowcaster so you get two 1/1 BotAO's.

I made a 50% winrate deck with aviana 2 bloods and 1 faceless. It's for funzies so it's doing alright bearing in mind the decks that are out there. I think the aviana iteration of the ancient one deck is better.

I made a druid deck with mana ramp, and Reno Jackson. Tons of card draw and I use Blood + faceless = ancient one and they immediatly quit! So fun! Needs tons of giant cards and Aviana.

Just finished an arena run with rogue where I got blood of the ancient one and shadow caster. Managed to summon the Ancient One once against a pally. He dropped Truesilver and immediately attacked it. Didn't get to hear it's attack sound :(

Have you thought about using a spare part to make it go stealth or a rogue card perhaps? they seem to be pretty mana cheap and playable the same turn:D

The only thing in HS that helps to save minions from direct removals is stealth. So may be roge can use this card more effectively in some sort of controll deck?

Maybe the bloods should trigger at the end of your opponents turn so your opponent has to deal with both of them? That would make the combo somewhat more viable, but then again maybe they don't want a minion that can one-shot your opponent to be viable anyway.

The first day I made an ancient one handlock deck. The idea of that deck was that the opponent will play all his removals on my giants and other big minions and then when I play the blood of the ancient one they just can't counter it. It's like a win more handlock but it was really fun to play :D

What about an Ancient One deck in wild? Mage with Duplicate or Echo Of Medivh? Maybe even Shaman? Warrior with Blood Warriors?

seems like you and me had different ideas on the ancient one, you made it easy to summon i made a deck so full of threats the opponent would hopefully be out of removal by the time i played it

How about rogue class, with shadowcaster, gangup, y'shaarj and shadowstep? same deckbasics as c'thun rogue, but with blood of the ancient one

I mean 18 mana, 2 cards and 2 turns to play a 30/30.If Blood of the Ancient One costed 7 or 8, it might be great in a gang up rogue deck. A 1 for one card in rogue decks isn't too bad, you can gang up both the Blood and The Ancient One, there conceal and the minion that gives stealth (with Emperor).

Is it possible to get the ancient one by any other means? As in evolve, portals etc. I assume not, would be kinda broken, funny though.

Blood of the Acient One + Naga sea witch should be pretty terrifying.

missing Herald Vosjlo? or whatever his name is, if you have a blood out makes another free blood that merges and u still have a solid 5/5 for the turn

Seems a bit pointless compared to what a Priest can already do with PW:S, PW:T, and Divine SpiritInner Fire. Somewhere around 15 mana for somewhere around 40/40 depending on whatever base you're using to buff.

The problem is that the thing costs 9 mana. The only way I've gotten it to work is by using the Naga Sea Witch and having her survive over one turn. turn 10: naga seawitch + soggoth the slitherer, then the following turn, the combo to create The Ancient One

What about comboing Blood of the Ancient One with Y'Shaarj or Aviana?

Thaurissan seems like an ok fit, if you can keep it alive 2 turns, then you can play blood and faceless in the same turn.

Try doing druid and doing avianna/innervate summons? druids have a lot of good taunts to mitigate early and mid game damage.

With the rogue, maybe it's better? Brann into shadowcaster on blood of the ancient (stealth from last turn) to create a double 1/1 that cost 1

Is the ancient one possible on a shaman reincarnate deck with faceless and deathrattle resummon similar to what feugen and stalagg do?

I did end up getting the Ancient one in the crossroads tavern brawl. Drew into one of the Bloods, and echo'd the other one. Cept my opponent got Kelthuzad with Chillmaw, making it impossible for the Ancient one to actually do anything other than getting rid of Chillmaw every turn. :/

Given how hard it is to summon The Ancient One, it seems like it should have special traits where it's immune to spells and minion effects. That way, the only way to stop it is to sacrifice many, many minions to its eldritch might.

how come I haven't seen anyone even try an ancient one deck with aviana? you could get them both out in one turn pretty easy with innervate, coin, or a discount on aviana from emperor. it seems like the easiest and most consistent way to do it, not to mention druid's ramp would help get you to ten mana faster for that combo anyways

I think Rogue would be a better hero to use since there are some cards that can give stealth to Blood of The Ancient One and also there are rogue cards that can make new copies of it. Now with the un'goro expansion, the chances are even higher

I know i shouldnt have, but i really wanted to try this out, so i just crafted two Bloods, and im going to try an Aviana deck and try pull it off.

I've been playing a Rogue blood of the old guy deck and it actually works surprising well sometimes. I would love to see someone bring a blood deck to a tournament.

I had some success with blood of the ancient one deck using Aviana. Managed to summon and kill my opponent with the ancient one at least 3 times (out of some 6 games I did).

Will never get the combo off in against an aggressive decj, and as he mentioned, a control deck just screws you over in the end because you don't have enough threats. So what exactly is was the card intended to counter?

As Druid, could you play summoning stone and use tree of life to get an Ancient One out?

Why not a druid deck? Aviana, coin/innervate, double blood. I run this in my old gods deck and have had great success getting the combo off and killing people with it. Even if they kill the ancient one, Aviana is usually left behind and then you can just flood the board with big stuff. Don't do that vs a class that hasn't used their big board clears already though. Any class that doesn't have a total board wipe spell or combo is usually totally boned though. I tried the shadow caster, bran rogue deck as well and it wasn't as consistent as the druid deck, in either surviving long enough to combo or getting the cards you needed to do it, as the shadow caster one needs way more cards to pull off.

How about the Ancient One in a freeze mage? Counterspell when they try to remove it, and even if they do you kill them with spells :P

Could you use that card that makes all your cards cost 5 mana, frostbone naga I think for this deck, so by turn ten a blood of the ancient one and a faceless manipulator or another blood of the ancient one for a surprise 30/30 minion. Just an idea though

Maybe we'll see a Tavern Brawl where your deck is entirely Bloods of the Ancient One and you start at 10 mana with 300 health.
