I get what he's saying. Hearthstone really feels like most of the decision making and consideration happens during deck building and that most actions during play are really straightforward and obvious.
Not so much, that's still ultimately a deck building decision. In play you play the combo the moment you draw it, and if you haven't drawn it you keep trying to draw it. Sean's asking (I think, his points tend to be a bit long and tangenty) for something where the play space for what you can do with the pieces on the board is higher and you have a lot of different possible options from any given board state, and the challenge is finding the right ways to use that board state to accomplish your goals. Hearthstone doesn't really do this.
Ultimatelly the problem comes from how restricted hearthstone is. Theres very little outcomes and possibilities in a game you can plan for, this is then padded with a bunch of random stuff for the game to look more complicated than it is.
Somehow beat puzzle 3 on my first try after taking an hour and looking up puzzle 2. Feel like i won the lottery cause I just randomly nailed it with no plan at all.
