I believe if Ice Block is ever to be rotated to HoF the next thing we are going to see is mages stacking armor via Arcane Artificer, Ice Barrier etc. to stall games. And it is not surprising really - this trend, mages stacking armor, could be hinted on by Blizzard with such potent cards

For those who are wondering where the hell the arcane artificier came from, i think it was a bug of the deck tracker, see in his deck list, there's 2 blabblings but he doesn't draw them the entire match, so I think the deck tracker read it wrong and traded artificier for the babbling, and taking into account that both cost 1 mana and that the artificier is a new card, it's a pretty high possibility that the deck tracker actually made a fuss when it came to detecting the artificier or he just add the artificiers right before the match and the deck tracker did not update the deck list.

You didn't get armor while you were doing the combo, because the Fireballs were 0 mana. Artificer gives you armor based on the spell's cost. 0 Mana = 0 Armor.

I'm currently playing Exodia Paladin. I was rocking it in wild for awhile and it was doing very well, so I decided to see if I could make it work in standard once catacombs came out. Turns out it does work. The deck is able to come out swinging in the early game allowing it to fend off aggro and midrange and the combo finisher just steals games from everything else.

Wow ! That escalated quickly !

I'm running a freeze mage deck right now with 2 arcane artificers and 2 iceblocks. It feels so unfair because I never die. It is like burn mage but better because you survive for longer.

Turns out watching kripps stream and his RU-vid videos is exactly the same now that he plays ranked with the same deck night after night

U know warrior is in a bad spot when makes and druids can get more armour then them.

I doubt Kripp will see this, but I wonder if you could make a fatigue mage with the artificers, the Molten Reflections, and the Simulacrums? Fill the deck with removal, board controls, and the Oracles... yeah. Maybe? Idk, I don't have the cards to do this myself. :/

how many years has it been since you played a challenging game kripp?

I really don't think ice block should be rotated out as long as mage is rid of OTK. Lookin' at you sorceror's apprentice/antonidas, and possibly Alexstrasza. Apprentice is probably a better choice to retire, since they'd have to make something else the class legendary and they'd probably choose Flame Leviathan. Or maybe they should do that since Flame Leviathan can kill the mage after ice block :3. It would be hilarious to see that happen if Prinze Malchezaar wasn't rotating, not that he's a serious card, but sometimes people pick ice block in arena. Right now Eater of Secrets eating two secrets off a mage isn't good enough, as a tempo mage will have a 0 mana 5/5 and use their hero power to finish off your silly 4 mana 4/6. I mean, yeah, sometimes that totally wrecks them but so often a tempo mage already has a huge advantage, and if they have 2 secrets up when you play Eater, you probably had to avoid doing much the first three turns unless you're rocking plated beetles or mistress of mixtures or some other way to merely break even. TL:DR i hate secret mage but not ice block.
