Challenges playlist: • Hearts of Iron IV Chal...
The challenge is to play as Manchukuo and unite China under the Qing dynasty, reclaiming the Mandate of Heaven. We need to break free from being a Japanese puppet, push them out of China and conquer all the other Chinese factions that dare to usurp our legacy. Timing is crucial here. Can we succeed? Tune in and find out.
Rules:
- Play as Manchukuo
- Be independent
- Complete the "Claim the Mandate of Heaven" focus (we need to control all of China to do it)
- Ironman

Remember that 1 infantry equipment represents 100 guns, so 200000 infantry equipment is 20000000 actual weapons.

@@feetlicks Create a template with one infantry battalion, and check the number for manpower and required infantry equipment. I checked again, the ratio is 1:10, not 1:100.

I prefer to think that you're just sending SOOO many guns, that you also have to send people to help carry them, who all carry them into critical infrastructure hubs (to guard and distribute them) and then wouldn't you know it, the government of the nation just "decides" that they are a province of your great nation!

Aaron Gretsinger How cute 😅😅 innocent people is so cute. The us did this in order to maintain allied governments in the “helped” countries. It was a measure to assure influence. Us is always executing measures to maintain influence. This even explain why there’s that meme tense here in Europe, “I think you need a little bit of LIBERTY!” and then they invaded Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, etc..

Just a side note, the Chinese Empire would have to include Mongolia, Tibet and Tanu Tuva. If going back to the early 1800s, then it would include Outer Manchuria as well, which are three or four states northeast of Manchuria, owned by Russia.

Play as Japan and conquer the whole world using solely Bicycle Divisions. Only Bicycle Battalions are allowed as combat battalions, but any support battalion is allowed. Edit: Aeroplanes and Ships are allowed

You're correct, but he was only going for the mandate of heaven. I'd say the challenge was hard enough as it was, since you have to start as a puppet, then break free and defeat two major powers, along with lots of other nations.

Nah. In 1789, Chinese conquest of Vietnam failed horribly at the hands of king Quang Trung so they can't push any further into Indochina. Then they faced frequent rebellion and instability, colonization, opium wars, etc.

You can annex the puppets by build something on theirs territory, it's a much easier than giving them lend-lease, because you need to build only something like 5 buildings on their territory. (sorry for my English if I wrote something wrong, I'm Russian)

Could you always look around the map at the end of the games? I am always curious to see what effects you have on the world. In this one you removed japan as a threat to the USA for instance, so what does Europe look like now that they do not have to worry about japan.

Well, if Japan didn't declare war on the US then America wouldn't have entered the war then the Axis might have won otherwise Hitler would be dead in the bunker. The war would be finished faster. But I do not know what would have happened if the Alies would need to capitulate Qing China.

Your hoi videos are so entertaining to watch. You Cut down missing all the boring parts, you explain what you’re doing and it baffles me how you do half the things you do. I try some of these strategies on my single player games but I can’t do half the shit you do, however it has improved the way I play, I’ve learnt quite a bit from you. Adding Tibet, Mongolia, Tannu Tuva, and the five mainland Soviet states northeast of Manchuria (those being Vladivistok, Khaborovsk, Birobidzhan, Nikolayevsk, and Amur) would complete Qing's historic borders. From there, we can expand by dipping into French Indochina.

Hey Taureor, I love the HOI IV videos you make, they always seem to get me hyped to play the game myself, but then I realize i'm shit at it, but I still have fun. Anyway, you seem to like challenges that are quite difficult to accomplish, therefore I have a suggestion. play as New Zealand or Australia and Annex the Commonwealth, preferably on the hardest difficulty for a more challenging experience. That would be a Hoot. Thanks for the hard work!

The new name is the title he was given at the coronation. Puyi was given his public name after being kicked out of office. He was officially known as the Xuantong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty and so he became it once more.

Just an FYI, Korea should be conquered as they were part of Great Qing in the 1800s, and then a faithful client state until 1912. Also, Mongolia, Arunachal Pradesh, Tannu Tuva, Outer Manchuria, and Northern Vietnam should all be part of China at the time.

I just admire your style mate both as a player and as a RU-vid entertainer. As for the challenge, well done! As far as I'm concerned while it takes some clever timing it isn't one of the particularly difficult ones. Actually I find that due to game mechanics playing any Chinese state or the British Raj is the easiest despite their initial backwardness and colonial status. Once you break free with the kind of manpower they have they are simply unstoppable I have achieved "one empire" with both easily.

Form the Roman Empire and take all land previously held by the Holy Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire, and the Russian Empire (including Alaska) (I chose the Ottomans and Russia because they both claimed the title of "Third Rome")

Nope, The Ottoman Empire was the Second Rome, in fact, one Sultan wanted to conquer Rome to recreate the Roman Empire, but a coalition of catholic countries made him fail. While Russia was the Third Rome, and you can see that by looking at the name of the emperors "Zar" that come from Caesar/Caezar, and was used in the Roman Empire as a name referred to the Emperors (as for Augustus)

I don't recognise Ottomans as Second Rome. They don't have any roman origin. And plus they are islamic. And neither they are Second Rome. To claim rightfully the title you need to be christian in first place.

FreaKlezz not really. The roman empire/republic wasnt always christian and in fact it was diverse, but yes later the empire recognised christianity as state religion. But it is true that the ottoman claim was invalid.

@@xano2921 That Ottoman Sultan was Mehmed the Conqueror he wanted to recreate Roman Empire but he didn't fail because of coalition of catholics he failed because he died before he achieve his goal. His first plan was to conquer port city of Otranto and they conquer the city since it was only 27 years after the fall of Istanbul, there was some fear that Rome would suffer the same fate. Plans were made for the Pope and citizens of Rome to evacuate the city. Pope Sixtus IV repeated his 1471 call for a crusade. Several Italian city-states, Hungary and France responded positively to this. The Republic of Venice did not, as it had signed an expensive peace treaty with the Ottomans in 1479. But a year later Mehmed died and his plan for Roma has died with him.

Bardzo dobrze zrobione filmiki ;) I have a challenge for you: Play as Poland on the Historical Polish Focus Tree mod and do a more or less historical run. That means no invading Lithuania or Latvia, you have to go with the Sanacja ideology and can't give up any of your land even if this means fighting two fronts. You can however attack the USSR or Germany before they attack you. Should be possible, I did it myself except I did invade Lithuania but I had to fight two fronts for a moment ;) Hope you try this, good luck!

hi, i just played this recently, what i did was try hard in invading China. and capitulated China Oct 1938, got 40 % war support through many encirclement and taking lit every city with > 3vp. Rush down to the expand the imperial guard when war break out coz that would be your main breakthrough. I also pacified the bandits and they did contribute in war too. Built up till Japan at war with allies then ez back stab.

I challenge you to make a civil war in Ecuador without having previously conquered any territory and use the console to play on the weaker side. That would mean that you would have only the territory of Galapagos and would need to invade the continetal part of the country. In console you need to put or D01 if the spanish civil war didn't started yet.

Vatican Empire challenge Basically for this challenge you start as Italy and your goal is to take every country who’s population is more than 50% Catholic by today’s standards. Put all troops in one general seem to work the best, you still kinda get the field marshal bonus, but no frontline bugs. It makes up for the negatives I think. I haven't tested the 1.5.1-beta update, there might be fixes tho. There are some new powerful exploits, like just having 10 width units with CAS following them, on mass assult they like never run out of org, and you have planes for soft attack through bombing, you can also justify on US to get world tension up so japan can justify on China without marco polo incident debuffs, and take the country easy, if you going to bring the emperor of germany back, justify and take Poland first and take it, you get to keep all of the polish territory in the civil war. You get a hefty factory boost, and its easier since you split german troops in two. With a stack of troops ready for deplayment, you can put it in franfurt to encircle the lower state with ease.

I recently tried challenge which I call "French revolution". As French Commune I was simultaneously at war with UK, Germany, Spain, USSR, Benelux, Italy, Portugal, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Greece, Turkey. Turned to be not very difficult.

You can annex you puppets very easy with convoys. build them with like 20 shipyards or so and then send them some. 500 convois are ike 400 domination points you can break free like this very easy too

the biggest problem is the current garison now is they do it with 1 or 2 division while the other just idling around, so you need to do multiply army to do garrison
