Hearts of Iron IV is a grand strategy wargame developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive. Released on June 6, 2016, it is the sequel to Hearts of Iron III and part of the Hearts of Iron series of grand strategy games focusing on World War II. The player may take control of any nation in the world in either 1936 or 1939 and lead them to victory or defeat against other countries.

I got this a few months ago but it was the hardest achievement of the lot. I tried as every Portuguese faction and kept failing. This strategy seems less complex and less painful than the way I did it.

You know what Dave? I love how you make videos in 1080p and 720p but without 60fps. In strategy games like hoi4 resolution matters much more then framerate, and for us, people with shit internet unable to run 1080p60, videos in 1080p30 are just amazing

Little tip to those attempting this achievement: If you don't finish the Brazilian civil war before finishing "Restoration of the Monarchy", you will face a civil war yourself since your stability will be too low. So, wait to choose that focus until you either have finished the Brazilian civil war or at least until you are certain to finish it in time before the focus gets done. Just wanted to note that since not every game will run without a hitch like the one Feedback is showing here.

Bit late to the party Dave, but again another excellent guide. I surprised myself and completed it by mid 43 on my first run, but definitely would not have been possible without your steps. In my opinion I didn't think this was too insanely difficulty, the submarine spam really does wonders in that regard lol. Cheers again mate!

Great video, so funny to see how this game can surprise in so many ways. No dought that Feedbackgaming is my favorite channel. It is always a good experience to spent some time watching one or two of your videos Dave, I am always glad when a new video comes up. I hope to achieve this Macauie thing myself - In the meantime I look forward to the next video. I really enjoyed the Age of Empires 2 video that came up some time ago, i would sure like to see more of that game along with Stellaris too. I found Stellaris because of you and have had a lot of good hours playing the game and also digging up childhood memories with the Age of Empires video, which made me play the game again a bit. By the way, i almost died from laughing at "Dong Empire" and "No surprise Denmark has fallen suddenly..." - From your faithful danish subscriber ;)

I think this DLC was made by people who had been working with EU4 a lot, because it seems like they count on irrelevant countries being able to make themselves into the most powerful in the world, but they forget that unlike EU4, HoI4 doesn't have different outcomes every time, majors don't just vanish unless they're the Soviets or France. Edit: Also, I don't think you've noticed it, but in the oil tab theres a letter C below your exported oil. This number is how much oil you need to import to maintain your fuel supply.

@@user-xw5xo3bv1n well I actually only noticed it when Castro was the leader since the Falagnists start off facist by default and the carlists start off non-alligned and both dont change their path. Castro is basically 50/50 between non-alligned and facist popularity, he starts non-alligned and has the option to switch. I only noticed this because i played Portugal multiple times

That Spain bug, I remember trying for this achievements after feedback did the Portugal Brazil and go it as Spain was not considered demonetized even when they were , it put my plan back and I panicked and never tried for this achievement again.

Absolutely great Video, thanks!! I tried this and when conquering China, I gave all the occupied states to my Porto Chinese Puppet for the extra manpower it gave me. Unfortunately I didn't realize that my puppet would make Beijing its new capital so I had to do the whole thing again...
