Hearts of Iron 4 The Endsieg Mod in 2020 Its Mindbending 

*Turns out the Endsieg mod is a challenge*

Hey alex, creator of the mod here. A couple steps to help you here in 1944 are: 1. Buy all fuel you can from venezuela 2. Make your medium tanks 40 width, 10 tanks 7 motorised and 3 mechanised. Move all your tanks, motorised and mechanised to 1 position, change them all to medium tanks and consolidate two units until you have around 14 tanks that should be fully equipped 40 widths 3. Do the same with your infantry, i would suggest 40 width pure infantry but if you're feeling bold you can put in some artillery, and then consolidate 2 units together on every tile. 4. Do the same in the courland pocket. Keep around 3 infantry on the rightmost tile, 6 infantry on the middle and the tanks and the rest of the infantry on the leftmost tile. Put CAS on this airzone (the soviets dont put air over it), and wait for an opportune moment where they leave the port open (it will happen, trust me). If they leave it open but move into it from another tile, attack it. 4.1 keep 4 units in norway on the soviet border. Consolidate, delete the rest. 5. Request all your puppets units, and put them on defence in austria (just follow the river, make sure you include vienna for the factories). 6. Put the units on the eastern front on a field marshal general (so you have 90 divisions under a general), and put them oon a fallback line following the river EAST off berlin, until it reaches the lowest tile of neumark, then make the line go over the czechoslovakia forts. The western front you're going to keep the same, just put the units on a frontline (but ignore the maginot tile that is taken). 7. Once you have your tanks consolidated and together, move them to Brabant. Make sure you get full planning prep (use the ability), along with a general that has the ability to get bridge crossing and rommel as a field marshal. 8. Put air over it and wait till you get green air (use both cas and fighters). 9. Micro your tanks, first encircle dunkirk (2 electrical boogaloo), then head for paris. After you encircle some more in normandy, they shouldnt have enough troops anymore and you can snake. With your PP just get good high command, ignore advisors and lower war exhaustion

Rambler if you want to win the 1918 szenario you just take all troops on the french boder and disband the half of them and dont help your allies. when you done this take focus on one place where you want to attack and send there many divisions and wait that there breakthrough when you done this try to incircle as much troops as you can and bomb some forts ps: sorry for my bad english im from germany

Just some tips which are very helpful from my experience. 1. When playing 1944 mod, it's better to play with speed 2 instead of 5. So, you can have enough reaction time to deal with a breakthrough and give orders to your divisions directly. 2. When I need to retreat some divisions from certain areas, I don't draw a defensive line and let all units retreat automatically. Because that will result in a) all the retreating divisions lost morale and entrenchments directly, and b) some divisions could retreat, but other divisions which are still under attacking by the enemies would be encircled. So, I always keep some divisions holding the front line. Then withdraw other divisions and let them dig in at the next province to peel for the divisions in the frontline to make sure no unit get encircled. Then I retreat more units from frontline. Any unit in 1944 mod is precious, so try to not lose any of them. 3. Transfer some divisions to 10 width light infantry divisions with only Engineers support company. In the Eastern front, there're some weak points which may get attacked by enemies from 3 directions, so Soviet tank divisions are very likely to break through those points. Deploy the 10 width light infantry divisions behind the weak points to form a second defensive line. So even if the enemies tank divisions can make a breakthrough, your 10 width light divisions with prepared entrenchments can still delay enemy tanks effectively.

The best way to defend on these scenarios is to make them bleed for every metre if you keep retreating every time they breakthrough then you're just gonna lose manpower, factories and weapons, etc. You need to keep the line as long as possible and try to stabilise the line if they breakthrough.

This is actually my favorite HOI4 mod in the area of what year you wanna start in and all that jazz. They even added a new Stalingrad one for the fall of 42

I actually succeeded at 1918 because I waited for my troops to get equipment then requested troops from my subjects and broke the French line

Alex for the 1918 scenario you need endsiegs form of heavy artillery 40 width divisions and an army of 20 widths to cover alsace lorraine because you have trenches and forts there so they won't push

Okay I did it Rambler Listen closely, you did a lot of stuff right, and actually could have been successful on your first attempt. It looked as though as you forgot some of your divisions. What you should have done, was to choose all divisions, and delete them. All of them, don't leave a single one. This will secure you a victory. Like so Alex can see

This brings me back to the Not surviving Endsieg video, the very first video i've watched from Alex.

one good tip i can give is that u should split ur army on the eastern front in half, make half the troops stay at the front line which will allow u to buy some time and make the otherhalf get behind a river and start digging trenches. the reason u should do this is becouse the russians keep endlessly attacking which doesnt let your men dig in and make trenches but if u do this u will hold longer. (you still wont prob win from just this one tactic but u will hold longer that i can promise)

You should consider doing an annual mod re-review, ISP has nostalgia November, but nobody claims "October Oldies".

To be fair the Soviets *were* constantly counter attacking during Barbarossa, it's why their casualties were so high.

I loved watching this! When you were pushed back as Germany in the first part of the video, I thought that was the last bit of the vid, I'm glad I was wrong!

My strategy is moving all troops to Berlin and fortify it, takes a while, but it completely destroys their armies and you can basically breeze through and Hi.. I mean Senor Hilter stays as leader as long as you keep Berlin

Best way to win is delete half army and change templates to 20 width 7/2 so you have no equipment deficit, and you will be able to hold on all fronts with them. Build space marine templates, make a couple of them and use them to create holes in enemy lines, either micro and encircle them or make gaps and then do all out push as eventually their defence will collapse.

could you do a vid about a vanilla+ playlist. There are a lot of mods that support that style of gameplay and it can make the game feel a lot more fresh.

The 3.0 update for OWBs is a tad buggy but it's definitely worth playing once it's cleaned up a bit. Lots of content in Colorado, Texas, the Mojave and for the Legion.

Alex, you don't use airplanes to get aerial superiority, when you are running out of oil/fuel. One thing you can do - and what I highly recommend - is to build a huge amount of anti-aircraft guns. You better use your fuel for your tanks and motorized divisions

The problem I eneded up having with the mod was that the dday event kept going off over and over after we pushed it back and it just kept giving the French manpower and equipment

Did this in a multiplayer game, I was Italy, and there were 2 Germany players. We focused on taking out the Allies in Italy first, then France. Yeah, gotta micro almost every unit for reorging.
