Paradox should really hire Feedback as a game tester. So many exploits that get found could be corrected before Paradox launches DLX/patches.

Hi FeedBackGaming! It's Bratyn/Drikus here :) Awesome video! I had never foreseen this use of the garrison control mechanics, and never expected the SCW to be winnable this quickly. However, I don't see anything wrong with this - it's extremely smart use of game mechanics, and this should be rewarded with results. It makes me genuinely happy to see the system gives the player enough control and agency to be able to accomplish something like this, and that the system is interesting enough that it matters where and how much you influence the garrisons. In addition, winning the SCW so quickly is not necessarily a desirable outcome - you lose out on tons of army xp, focuses, and cores, the latter of which you'll need to invest extra into after the end of the SCW to get them back. But if a player wants to win it this quickly, all power to them! I will not be changing anything in the garrison control system to make what you showed here impossible (though I may look at balancing out some parts and making the Republicans a bit less likely to surrender). I will of course be looking at the Unplanned Offensive issue - this is definitely not supposed to occur, no matter how quickly you win! So thanks for mentioning this. Thanks for making this video! You met my challenge and then some, and did so in a way I had never expected. I can only raise my glass in salute: well done - I concede defeat! :)

I'd like to see this be an achievement like 30 minutes of hel. Title: 2 Months of Insanity Requirements: Beat the Spanish Civil War in under 2 months after it begins.

I finished the civil war for the Anarcists in two weeks. I basically encircled almost every one their division day one, and proceeded to micro at super low speeds for two hours. But hey, still two weeks.

Something that should be noted, if you have a negative national spirit that gets removed by the civil war focuses, you will not lose the modifier. As a Carlist Spain, I have the "Disjointed Carlist Junta's" still, which gives a weekly -.5 stability, -10% attack, and -10% defense, so this exploit won't work for everything.

And from this day forward every Paradox developer has learned the lesson of never challenging the almighty FeedBackGaming to an "impossible" mission You are beautiful FeedBack *kiss* *kiss* *kiss*

Little glitch: if you switch to fascism before or after doing the focus "dictator for life" you'll get the old franco portrait

Would make a vid about converting military factory instant as france? I think it is possible with a massive -50% converting cost with la résistance (plus some advisor etc) in the french focus tree (but the focus is only available on the democratic/communist part of the focus tree D: )

Doesn't work by By Blood Alone (March 2023). I secured Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada, Valencia, Almeria before the war; naval invaded Barcelona and Tortosa after the war started; captured Madrid, Oviedo, Bilbao, Toledo - 94% capitulation

Great work. Tried as the Falangists, and the problem I ran into was that the Carlism National Modifier remains due to the civil war not triggering where the Carlists rise up.

U can't do this if u want to play as the Phalanx because u will keep the weekly stability hit. Alternatively just delete ur airforce on the start, research paratroopers and produce transport planes early. When the war starts, farm 10 army exp and create a 1 battailion paratrooper division. Now just swarm the AI.

how do i win the spanish civil war in no step back? after numerous attempts it seems i need to own every single city to win?

I wonder what happens if you do this while playing as the Falangists or the Carlists, who get an uprising during their civil war? is the uprising completely avoided?

I just noticed. If you play as france and go down the dispersed industry focuses, you can as vichy france research both dispersed and concentrated industry....

My first time playing as Spain with the new DLC was pretty confusing for me, I ended up with a solid front line, as well as a handful of pockets within republican spain, and for whatever reason the AI sent most of their troops to surround and destroy the small pockets of single division units, I just walked into madrid and had some mild but quick battles to valencia, and the whole thing was done in a month or month and a half. Was a bit of a disappointing first experience.

You can also play two sides from eiher the Nationalists or the Republicans at the same time. Just select one focus as soon as the event fires and choose the other one in the event.

Also if you are france you can intervene in the war, however if republican spain loses the war while you are invading you permanently have the decisions for "intervention in spain" including a few options to gain unlimited stability and trade stability for war support.

I had a lot of fun viewing this video! What about trying again with the current mandatory national spirit "Death before surrender"? I've tried but while AI controls at least one city with which had 3 VP, will never surrender. Greetings from Spain!

there is one catch thoo. that catalists debuf stays in your nation forever. As you finish the war before they can make an uprising.

Damn I just came back to this video after a long time, and since the newest dlc (as of november 2021) No Step Back, you can't "research" doctrines anymore if you have the no step back dlc, and now when I write this comment I start to realise that a lot of tutorials on achievements in HOI4, has some issues since doctrines aren't researchable like they once were so maybe some old achievement guides should get an update.

I did this as the Falangists, but since I couldn't fight the Carlists, they kept influencing me, even when I had 3 advisors who promoted Fascism. It would haven ever ended, always .1 to .2 decrease in Fascism. Then I won as the Falangists without this exploit, beat the Carlists and did the 'Eliminate the Carlists' focus, then I didn't get that continual increase in Neutrality. Thanks for the video though. I will do it as non-Falangists.

There is a new major bug with this update, its with civil wars, you just need to change for the new tag that is created, if the Spanish civil war didn't fire the new tag will be D01, if the Spanish civil war already fire, the tag will be D02, try to do it you can do with any country, been maybe with Spain and Vichy France could not happen because they have custom national focus, unless you don't have The Resistance, and I know this because I found it by accident.

Tried it, worked perfectly. Only downside was a bug that did not remove the "Carlism" national spirit, which meant I had a permanent -0.3% weekly stability after the war ended, basically meaning I was fucked even I though I smashed through the civil war... thx Paradox

Spain vs the world. Do this, have solidified frontlines, and just turn your entire nation into a wall with lvl 10 forts, AA, ETC. Fight every nation at once.

I won the Spanish Civil War in HoI IV using the division template trick before the update Just need 5 army points to make a temp with one AA, then name it to the opposing forces And name your existing cavalry to the faction you want to be When civil war happens just draw the lines and watch a stampede Idk if it still works now

It's like they forgot DDRJake made a streaming career out of breaking EU4, and then was literally hired by Paradox and then became LEAD DESIGNER for the entire game. Players will find stuff and exploit it. And the devs and testers do their best, but thousands of people will eventually find the things you didn't or couldn't fix.
