@@getstickywithniccie I did it ages ago but I can relate to Charlie because his coming out was exactly like mine, someone heard someone talking about it, the rumor spread .. and next you know I'm getting bullied lmao
the entire time i was watching s2 with my friends, we were all just like "why does he [david] look like hes 30" and then we just kept aging him up, so at the end it was "why does the dinosaur keep talking"
@@Matty12333 Well, the actors playing Nick, Charlie, Ben were still in school. But they are playing two or three years younger than they are. But that’s different from having someone in their late 20s playing someone almost 10 years younger. Tori is I think 17. Nick is 15 or 16 and Charlie starts as 14 and turns 15. I think Ben is also 15 or 16. The actors were 18 and 19 I think.
1:09 Charlie's like: *"What The Hell?"* Also when your own DOG growls angrily at your homophobic older sibling male OR female you KNOW you done f*cked up.
Honestly, Nick should have just decked him. 🤣 He’s way bigger than David in terms of muscle mass. I know. I know, Sarah, violence is never the answer… until it is… just ask Tori. ;)
Yeah. One of the exceptionally bad ones that you can't even bother to remember the title of or who played in it, but the cringe stays with you like remembered vomit.
Let it be noted that David is described by Tori in Solitaire (or This Winter I can’t remember) as “someone who boasts about cheating on their girlfriend” so you can tell where he gets he arsehole energy from.
I adore that Tori went and asked Nick if he was alright after everything went down. She so quickly comes to care about him almost as much as she cares about Charlie
Sarah: "WHAT WERE YOU DOING GOING INTO HIS BEDROOM ANYWAY?!" David: "I WENT IN THERE ONE TIME!" ALSO David: *Walked into his little brother's (Nick's) bedroom TWICE while he was studying for his G.C.S.E.*
Agree. He was toned down. The actor who plays David said the Heartstopper team wanted to show how both Nicks and David’s lives have been affected with a very distant father and that is why David could be the way he is but also not redeeming his actions
@@AlextheHomo It was just little things. Like when Tori kicked his phone. In the book he was quite angry and swore but in the show he was shocked and silent. And in the show the dad forgot where he lived which seemed to upset David. That wasn’t in the books. The creator of Heartstopper said she was able to give more depth with David in the show but couldn’t do it like that in the comics
@@daryaebrahim, true, at least David has the excuse of being such an awful jerk in general that nobody is surprised he's homophobic. For Ben, what's his excuse? Internalized homophobia ain't an excuse to hurt others, Benjamin!
Is it bad that I want Tori to yank his head up by his hair exposing his throat giving that threat instead of kicking his throat? I feel like that would be more effective so he knows that there are people that is anti-David
David is a narcissist…we can all agree with that? The fact he continues to say “he’s the one getting wound up. I’m just joking” even though he’s purposefully saying crap he has no business saying
That would be an anticlimactic twist though, and too overrated for his own good. Let the man be a jerk without having internalized homophobia as his excuse. Plus, like the comment section says, he looks like a 2000s emo boy, and those films didn't have many queer characters at the time to look up to..
