Thank you, Thom, for another great episode! I am personally super interested to see how Alice navigates having to write both season 3 and volume 6 simultaneously. I am also excited to see how the two iterations of the same universe may affect each other's growth and future. I hope Alice doesn't feel like they're under too much pressure, but I do have faith that they will end this story beautifully. AND THEN I'm excited to see if Solitaire and/or Radio Silence will be made into movies! I'm just so here for wonderful queer stories, because my scars from watching things like Boys Don't Cry run deeper than I thought. Thanks again ❤

Loving your cute little quaff you've got going on with your hair. Nice to see you finally got some free time to do another part lol They did do a good job keeping the pacing and choices pretty reasonable for the most part. Comic Elle was defintely more flustered to see a disheveled, underdressed Tao while Show Elle was definitely more amused and like "Yeah this is typical Tao behavior." There is a part of me that's glad they changed the conversation of Elle liking Tao from Charlie to Nick. It was a good way to broach Nick and Tao's attempts to actually become friends, while they kinda extend that conversation for the Lock on the Bridge conversation. While there's never a direct statement of "Elle likes you too, i promise." I think Nick's conversation does allude that she does but also expands more into Tao's issues and gives him the drive to embrace just being himself cause all of his friends love that. Really brings together the dynamic that Charlie and Tao are good enough friends that the conversation on the bridge is enough, and Nick and Tao can be good friends when Tao lets down his walls and opens up that door for them. I saw a post recently showing the comparrison between the bedroom conversation and the After Prom showing how happy Nick and Tao are after saying goodbye showing how glad they both are for finally getting to be closer. It really does show how much attention Nick pays to Charlie that he does notice how little he snacks or eats in general. Especially since they hang out more in their free time comparred to Charlie hanging out with the others. With the others Charlie can probably lie a lot better about already eating or not being hungry while with Nick I think he relaxes more so he doesn't think about it as much and it makes it easier for Nick to notice how often he just denies having dinner or snacks with Nick. Also hope in season 3 we see Nick reaching out to the others like he does to Aled during the Paris trip. Huge agree on everything you said about the conversation with Tara and would love to see more of them interacting and supporting each other's relationships.And just refer back to the last paragraph for the Nick and Tao scene which I agree is such an amazing scene. It'd be a bad idea for them to share NIck's bed cause then Issac has nowhere to read :p I can only assume in the show it's just to avoid the awkwardness of sharing a bed together with the friends for the first time (Ignoring the sleepover but that was sleeping on the floor it doesn't count). That and Charlie does know they can't really keep their hands off each other but it defintely isnt as serious as outting themselves to Tao like the comic. I love both, I know i've said this before but I just view them as different timelines of Nick and Charlie's love. I think the only thing I will say is that Comic Paris is slightly better cause stuff makes a bit more sense all around but show has the Nick & Tao scene which makes it really good ontop of all of Imogen's scenes.

I know these are a lot of work, but they're absolutely worth it. Thank you for feeding us some quality Heartstopper content in these times of scarcity. 🙏 And it's always a joy to hear you order some ice cream in French. 🙂 Do you plan on doing a predictions/wishlist/speculation video before season 3 comes out? (Not me getting ahead of myself and getting excited about S3 when it's still MONTHS away.😩)

I've long thought that the scene in the show where Nick and Tao sit on their beds and speak, with Isaac in the background, is very interesting because Nick glances around a bit before he tells Tao that he's a good-looking guy, in case he wants to know. I think he briefly brought his bisexuality into the conversation there. And Tao's reaction to that is not hostile at all, but very... straight! Yep, time to go to the vending machine! heee hee

So happy to see this on my feed today! I've loved your analysis of comic v show. I'm dyyyiiiinnnnng to see what Netflix S3 does with what we know as Volume 5 (Tapas episodes 5-7)! And I'm thrilled to see new content from Alice on Patreon ❤

So glad we got another one of these! These are definitely some of my favorite scenes that they changed over from the comics. They managed to keep so much without it feeling forced.
