He also talked a little about The Hunter with Steve McQueen. He said that filming the final chase scene, where he drives through a parking garage into the water, he was supposed to live and have an extended scene where he gets caught. What had happened was he dove out of the car right before it drove off but the car sank to the bottom of the water instead of coming back up so they just wrote him off to die lol.

That's the thing. This entire story is about how one asshole in the group literally ruins it for everyone else. The funny and sad thing is, given how smooth and professional they were as a crew, they didn't really need the extra help as a whole. They could have done it with the four of them and gotten away clean.

huh? iconic? for generic machine guns? The prop guys didnt build them they used real guns with blanks.

@kai64warden86

@@CrazyForCooCooPuffs Not necessarily. The weapons themselves are both iconic and are indeed not just generic machine guns. The firearm that McCauley uses is a Colt Model 654, the firearm that Michael Cherrito carries is an FAL 50.61. Paratrooper, and the gun that Chris uses is a Colt Model 733. All of them are indeed iconic.

This is why you don't kill the cops. Used to be a respect that went on, long as you weren't killin people then you'd usually get away to be honest. When you execute three cops who've got their brains falling out of their ears anyway, that's when you're going to get crucified. Was a damn good movie but the killings sealed their fate and De Niros character knew it.

@@michaelrichardson8755 Spoken like someone who doesn't know how the armed security world works lol. The vast majority of cops have armed security second jobs or they take armed security jobs when they retire. My point still stands though, executing the security was a terrible move because now it goes from an armed robbery to triple homicide.

So they wouldn't be outnumbered by the guards. 4 vs. 3 becomes 3 on 3 when Shiherlis goes inside the van. I imagine at no point do they want it to be 3 on 2 in case they were dealing with cowboys.
