Excellent video, very informative. Some useful comments about DNO G98/99 applications - I still need to do mine. I have Enphase and have fitted 2 (East/West) panels on my shed, 4 (South) panels on the garage, with 4 more (North) to go. I was interested to see how you did the feed of the power cable through the tiles and it looks like you use a Dektite - Nulead, I used the same. Enphase + metered gateway is definitely the way to go, yes it is more expensive, but its unlikely to burn your roof down, or fail after a couple of years.

Thank you for the comment. We certainly see the advantages of enphase particularly when installing on various orientations and the safety aspect is second to none. Good luck with the rest of the installation

Dan! Please advise. Been watching the channel for 18months. Based in Wrexham. Octopus given me a 6month lead time on an install of a 6kW outdoor unit and cylinder. Found another installer who prefers Mitsubishi, however my airing cupboard is only 650mm depth by 900mm wide. What would you recommend for a cylinder 🙋‍♂️🙏

Hi, thank you for watching our channel. It does depend on the size of the property, if you only require a 6kw I presume it is fairly modest and a 2 or 3 bed property. Usual rule of thumb is 45 litres of hot water per bedroom plus 45 litres, so typically for example a 3 bed will require a 200 litre cylinder. If you are looking to install a Mitsubishi with a tight space internally, they do now supply a “Versatile Slimline Cylinder” 200 litre which is 450mm wide just under 600 deep and approx 2025mm high. You will need some wall space for pumps and other ancillaries. Good luck, I hope it all goes well

Enphase. Overpriced, underperforming, but earns the installer more profit per KWh and that's why it gets installed.
