I almost died today from heat stroke, the entire way home I was thinking “if I stop to rest I won’t get up again”. Eventually I did get some water, but I was too weak so I just layed on the ground and waited to die. I didn’t, so here we are.
Thank you so much for these videos. When I was in the Army, I almost died from heat stroke. The army called it heat exhaustion, but I ended up in the hospital in an ice bath with IVs in both arms and a temperature of 106 after passing out during a road march.
Hyponatremia is a serious condition. It happens when excessive sweating dilutes the body's electrolytes, and too much water can make it worse. Much worse.
