I put one for a Mossberg on my RIA Lion yesterday and it looks great. I really like the way that it mounts compared to the other brands. The only fitting I had to do was file a little off each side of the back of the forearm to slide over the "C" clamp on the heat shield, which isn't even noticeable. Chris is a great guy to do business with, very helpful and fast shipping. Everyone that has seen it really likes it and says it makes the gun look better.

I purchase 2 of those for my mossberg 500 and 590. Looking good strong and worth the $$$. Just a small reminder if you have MAGPULL FURNITURE on the slide is not going to fit. I know that because I ruin 2 more with no success. The maker of this product should have made the sides higher and with option magpull or regular slide. Looks great on my 500 but my 590 does not fit and remember is not the only heat shield that don’t fit with magpull furniture. I was hoping for someone to correct that issue. Great product if you don’t have MAGPULL FURNITURE.

I put this heat shield on my Mossberg maverick 88 really easy installation. It looks cheap but it polymer fiberglass. I have researched this heat shield and it got pretty good reviews.. And it looks COOL.. you don't know until u try it.. Don't judge a book by its cover... CCW.. BABY. 😎😎😎😎

I just bought one off ebay and it feels flimsy and cheap by the way it looks its the same one. Im glad i found this video thanks for the info i didnt think it was this durable

This is not an easy install on a Remington TAC-14, although it can be done. I bead ramp has to be cut out in the front. Also note that on a Tac14 the shield stick past the end of the barrel probably by 1/2 inch. I thought that would be okay, but the muzzle blast said No and blew off about 1.125 of the end. Inn retrospec I should of followed my mind and trimmed the end. Luckily they are price friendly, and with one under my belt i know what to not allow for now. But because of the way the forend is made there is a place where it wants to rub against the barrel. I think this is also a mater of a trim to make clearance. Also near the end of the forend being racked you can encounter a place where they shield and forend bind slightly. But he is right it's tough from an over all perspective. Hello there, I am interested in purchasing one of your heat shields for the Mossberg 500, it looks like an amazing and well-made product! I am interested in taking the 500 and building a 14" barrel Mossberg using the Shockwave birds head Raptor Grip with a 26.5" OAL. Non-NFA item. Would the heat shield you offer fit a 14" Mossberg barrel? (Part #16033P Bbl Asm 514Bead Hvy/w Parkerized $100.00) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help and best wishes!

Take the retention screws out. Adjust the heat shield to the proper position. Get you a little tube of blue loctite at your local hardware store. Put a dab on the threads of each retention screw, and reinstall the heat shield.

Oh, and snug the screws down as tightly as you can without stripping the threads.
