Thanks Well explained definitely something different a for me to learn appreciate it especially that I didn’t even know they had 11 x 17 transfer paper God bless you continue success
Thank you Kenny, another amazing Video.. I got my cameo plus today can’t wait to open it. I was using the cricut maker. I have to learn the cameo. With your teaching I know I will be making beautiful things soon.

I love how you explain everything calmly and straight to the point, but I wish you had a tripod or something to hold your camera and show everything you're doing without moving too much. I'm new at this, so i need all the help possible. I will check more of your videos, this is the first one and i like it so far, you got me stuck on the screen lol
Thank you for the tip! I’ll do just that! Thank you !! Please quick ones if you don’t mind, do any ink do for the print? Also, do the designs stay after washing? If yes, any washing instructions? Do you think such technique can be used for sale? Blessings. More power to you.
@@moomoon1410 The wash instructions are on the back of the blue PPD paper. I did a wash test and can see the results here if you like (few minutes into video), but I washed it normal & dryer test: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DIQHAaaNUe0.html

TFS! This video has helped alot. My printer only prints 8.5×11. Can you slice a larger image using the this paper? How would I press an image that has been cut into multiple pieces? Thanks again for your help?
Hello. Now that depends on your design software, some skills, and/or learning curve; you will have to test that out (the risk is wasting heat transfer paper, garment, & time). Not saying cannot be done, but there is 8.5x11 heat transfer paper.
Thanks. I have the 8.5×11 heat transfer paper for dark fabric. Wondering I'd there is an easy way to print, cut, and press a larger image. I have silhouette. Can you tape 2 images together and press them?
@@MONTGOMERYB1 Hello again & yes you can. I would just do a test on a old shirt. Just print 1 design, cut in half, and press it. That way you could see if it will be worth doing, just my 2cents 😎
Also was just thinking, can puzzle your designs like you said too if you doing a print and cut using 8.5x11.. example: cut the design, cut the words, line everything up, & press away.
great video brother but i have a question i just bought a Epson wf 7820 ...so can i use the ink that comes with it on the heat press paper or i have to buy the kit for sublimation?
if you use your regular ink.. look for products that are heat transfer paper, (do not update any firmware, but can turn off notification on printer), can always buy chips for sublimation and go back and forth.
Great job and thank you. I was wondering if I could use my eco solvent converted printer on these? I have a sub conversion as well just curious if it would work with the water based eco solvent too?
Hello. New to your channel and a new sub. I am about to venture into the t-shirt business which is all new to me. Hopefully I can learn from some of the best while watching. Best Wishes in all endeavors Kenny.
I do have a question that has come to mind. Again, the t-shirt business is all new to me. I would like to have a brand name and have a few ideas but where do I start first?
You will need to open a small business by getting your LLC. You can do all this for free and plenty of helpful videos (use youtube search and can add your state). May have to pay certain amount depending the state you live at. If you want to trademark (like a slogan or your business name for example), good option is legal zoom. But get your LLC first and then open a small business checking account.
Can be many factors for a long lasting finish. Overall best is 100% polyester shirt (white, ash gray) with sublimation ink, many washes & dryer. Add: Have to test other products like Heat Transfer Paper, Vinyl, and more. Plus not everyone will be using same inks, same printer, same brand garments, same Heat Press pressure, and more. Why I said factors above lol. Hope that helps.

Hey man, great video - The Transfer Paper sits nicely and holds up well with setting. I followed everything to a T but when I cut the image on the Cameo and go to weed - it just lifts up all as one sheet - any insight onto why it is not cutting at all?
Alright, May have to set Cameo to cut a little deeper. Not sure what blade you have, but greater success on Premium manual blade (was $20 when i purchased not sure todays pricing). I would test cut top left corners for adjustment.
@@diywithkenny8399 I was using the blade that came with it, but I will go and buy the premium blade. Like and Sub from me for sure. Thank you for the response, it is very much appreciated.
So just to be clear in order to get vibrant colors you printed this on heat transfer paper with sublimation ink, correct? do you have a comparison of he same print with regular ink jet ink to see how it looks?
Hello. Regular jetink is the preferred method. No I do not have a comparison video but that would be a good idea. Sublimation ink would be best at tacting down the heat transfer paper and then heat pressing it on using the sublimation paper (just like glitter vinyl).
Hello and thanks. I use the HP.. touch screen one Core 5. Oldie but goodie. Now I would recommend the heat transfer paper on normal jetink. But the print & cut on Cameo is same.
Butcher paper is to protect the heat press top plate and also butcher paper use inside shirt to protect the bottom of shirt from ink leaking through. So if ink gets on butcher paper that is ok. Cannot take off polyester. Also use lint brush on polyester before the press. Heat transfer tape is also good to use. Hope that explains it 😎
Hello. I'm not sure? Did you use the dryer? It is all personal preferences when washing & drying. I personally hang dry my shirts. Can always try to heat press it out again using the white silicone paper & teflon sheet.
Yes has been washed. Prefer method is regular jet-ink. Sublimation ink be better off doing the traditional way like glitter vynil (tact it down, print design on sublimation paper [mirrored], then heat pressing it).
I tried making a design 11.5 by 23.5 on cricut design but it wouldn't allow me like it did with you, i have a cricut explore air 2 do I need the one u use??
Hey & yes... Reason: Unfortunetly cricut is limit to print & cut 9.25" x 6.75" (max). Now there are few crafters out there that use a hack to cut bigger (youtube tutorial). My opinion is too many steps is why I use the Cameo 4 Plus cut 15x15 (can get the cameo 4 12x12) & purchased premium blade. Still have to tweek the cut settings but way easier than Cricut.
So you just printed with sub ink on regular transfer paper 🤔 so that means the picture will still break up after a few washes unless that transfer paper is great
Here in the beginning of video is wash test (3x wash & dried) when I first did PPD: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GGd9r88UmM8.html Key thing I notice when actually reading the instructions for this video, leave silicone paper on 30secs. 1st video over a month ago.

Sup Kenny I been watching your videos I learned alot from watching with certain things I been trying to find out thanks And by the way how can I purchase one of your Stay True iron ons I like that
@@diywithkenny8399 hey wasup thanks for responding but I don't do Twitter or Instagram I'm not on any of that any other way I can reach you to get the transfer from you ?
I would say yes for 8.5x11 (check your printer sizes), may have to play with paper settings (if has thick paper or cardboard), and load 1 sheet per print.
Great job with the tutorials. I had a question about the epson wf-7840 printer. I know you switched to transfer inks and all that. I've heard on another video of RU-vid that after the ink needs to be replenished that the chips are no good after that and have you ran into this problem? I am really considering purchasing this wf-7840 printer and converting it but I don't want to purchase new chips every time the ink runs low. Does the woman on the other video have any validity to her experience. Or what has happened in your experience with the chips and her claim to them being no good after? Thanks in advanced
Hello and yes you will have to buy new chips amd swap whenever the printer calls for it. If you can get the Epson EcoTank 15000 can still print all the larger paper sizes and no buying more chips.
My opinion be Ecotank 15000.. no more chips and can still go as high as 13x19 paper. 7840/7820 will have to worry about chips and not updating firmware on printer (if you hit update, no more aftermarket chips). WF 7720 have all the perks and infinite chips or chip reset devices. My 2cents.
Needed this video man good lookin, but quick question, what is the longevity of sublimating on heat transfer ? Basically how long did that stay true shirt last, much appreciated brotha
Yes. Have done the version in video, and 5 washes (not good IMO), I have done regular ink on sweater and 10 washes and going. But the print & cut part still good to use. Never tried pigment ink, you may want to use old shirt to test with small design.
@@diywithkenny8399 Good lookin on the info brotha, im lookin aswell for ways to have prints last longer even thru washs, I just gotta an idea im bout to try out which is eco-solvent ink which is oil based n water resistant , hopefully it work proper. Much appreciation for your time brother.

Hey Kenny I have a design that has white letters on it . When I send it over to the printer following your tips the two white letters aren't on the print preview. Is there a way to fix this?
Hello. It depends what software you are using. When you add your text to your design, should be options to manipulate your text. Stroke is an outline around text. May have to do a quick youtube search - "How to add a stroke using [software 👈 ex: photoshop, canva, silhouette studios]." Look for most recent video, then should show you how to add a stroke to your liking, if not that text will not show if it is seperated. Let me know.

I’m trying to use this but sublimating onto the vinyl (my cut machine is messed up and waiting on it to be fixed) It keeps melting at and sticking the sub paper to it. What temps and time do you use? It works with easysubli but I need the 11x17 and it’s out of stock so I bought this to try!
Hello. Sorry to hear. I did 390 degrees at 30 secs, left the parliment paper on 30 secs and them peel, and one more press with the parlimemt paper. BUT preferred method is regular jetink, last longer.
You will need inkjet tranfer paper, check this blog out (good company i ordered my mugs from them): www.coastalbusiness.com/blog/heat-transfer-paper/3-things-you-must-know-before-buying-htp.html#:~:text=Heat%20transfer%20papers%20are%20designed,will%20need%20laser%20transfer%20paper.
Yo! I would recommend the regular jetink way. Finer print (no smudges) overall. Was trying this method. Not sure on as of yet on the regular jetink washes, but lasting strong after 2 washes so far vs the sublimation.
I watched your video setting up my print machine i put in the sublimation ink but I didn't see how to set up when I went online to epson i didn't see 7840 download
oooh ok.. I can simply explain: go to www.epson.com/support on your computer, type your printer name, then once it pops up just download "recommended" (thats the print drivers and stuff)... never download firmware update off your printer going forward.
Yes. Please check the pin comment for reminder. 385 degrees for 30 seconds, 2nd press 10 to 15 seconds. Best results let the silicone and teflon rest ontop for 30secs after 1st press

@@diywithkenny8399 Hi, thank you for your videos. Would you mind addressing my question? I see you said this can be used with sublimation ink, but what about in a sublimation printer? I don't have an inkjet printer, I only have laser and sublimation printers. Thank you, have a fantastic day and be safe.
Hello. Now they do have heat transfer paper specifically for laser ink printers. Here a link from heat transfer warehouse to give some direction (I would not recommend sublimation unless you are laying down the paper, then use sublimation paper design like glitter vinyl): www.heattransferwarehouse.com/laser-printer-transfer-paper/
@@diywithkenny8399 Thank you so much. I'm not sure what you mean by laying paper down and using glitter vinyl, but I did see the laser paper. This is perfect!!! Once again, thank you very much.
