Klopp was moving away from chaos ball, could see that begging with the Thiago signing, now we have Macca and Gravenberch instead of hendo and fab so instead of relying on our CB's and fab to defend the whole team has to work together to get the ball back and it means we don't see us being outnumbered on counters . Slot loves controling a game but not like pep, it's more of a mental control saying to the other team you cannot play how you want to.

I’d put Slot in the top 5 managers right now tbh. Did a really good job with Feyenoord, won them multiple trophies. I’d put him above Howe easy but I don’t rate Howe at all I think he’s awful

Probs will be spoken about similar to how Howe and Ange are being spoken about now once this seasons over. Looks like he has the potential to be a top manager and push on even further than that.

Comparing howe and ange is fair as they both have a similar style and are at similar clubs. But arteta plays different and has changed the culture at a club in his first managerial role whereas emery has been moderately successful at various mid table clubs. So how can you compare them. I would prefer arteta over emery personally.

Emery had us near the relegation zone reaching December. He categorically failed. The worst Arsenal manager even prior to Wenger, and his football was diabolical. You rival/neutral fans can try and rewrite history, us fans watched it week in week out. You're all waffling.

This was after turning a poor Yokohama F Marinos side, with pretty much no money, into the best side in the country.

In no world is ange a better manager than Eddie Howe . Getting spurs to 5th is hardly an achievement of any note .

In the Australian domestic competition, he was manager of a side who were floundering when he took them over and he turned them into the most dominant side in Australian football history, with the longest unbeaten run in Australian football history, he did this on a shoestring budget. He was then coach of the Australian national side, won the AFC Asian Cup, Australia's first and so far only major tournament trophy. He then went to the J League, the same league Arsene Wenger coached in, and became manager of Yokohama F Marinos, a very poor side who had just barely survived relegation and turned them into the best side in Japan, again with a shoestring budget. He then went to Celtic, who had just lost the title to a resurgent Rangers, who had wiped the floor with the competition. Celtic had become complacent. Ange brought in some new players, a few of which were Japanese, but not from YFM, and in that first season won the not only the league, but the domestic treble, doing so in a brand new country, this despite losing some top Celtic players, such as Odsonne Eduard, Kristoffer Ajer and Moussa Dembele, and the following season won the domestic treble again and then in his first season with Spurs, lost their talisman, bought some players who many would now have in their top 5 in their given position and qualified for the Europa League. Eddie Howe hasn't won any silverware other than the Championship league champions. He didn't win League 2 or League 1. Eddie Howe is a good manager, but Ange is a much better manager.

@@garymaidman625 I think time will tell. But you do have to factor In the quality of the league. If a manger wins the championship or the play offs we don’t consider it a major trophy . Despite the fact that the championship is a stronger competition than SPL or the Australian league. It’s all relative. The whole “ he’s won trophies argument” is used when it suits ppl (I mean that when it comes to most managers not just ange). For example ppl will put Emery bellow arteta but cite trophies as a reason Ten Hag or Ange are above Howe . I think u could make a case for either. And I think that it’s always tricky to pick a top 5 because u have to consider past achievements , current form etc. I think if ange wins a trophy at spurs ( in a top league) or turns them into regular top 4 and champions league qualifiers I’d pick him over howe .

@@Kronthedon2333 personally, I put Emery above Arteta, at least right now. It wasn't just that Ange won the Australian, Japanese and Scottish leagues, it was how (no pun intended) he did it. There is a difference between taking over a dominant side and winning it and taking a poor side with no money and turning them into a dominant side. Howe is in the envious position of being the manager of the richest club in the world. I would actually still put Klopp in top 5, because if he was to step into a manager's job tomorrow, he would be just as good. He hasn't lost any of his skill.

Ange is objectivlty worse till he gets top 4.Glasner was good for 10 games come off it.

He got heavy financial backing on the run, it was still impressive but lets not act like he was limited by finances

The issue with that is Emery has a decade and a half over Arteta that should allow him to win more trophies. Arteta just started 5 years ago, so he shouldn’t have close to the same amount of total trophies

@@MrCian47 it was factual. No waffle. Emery took Arsenal to a European final and had them finish 5th in his only full season with no control over transfers. Arteta had control of transfers and finished 8th consecutively. Took 3.5 seasons to break Emerys points tally, and a lot of money

Machida Zelvia are currently joint top after just gaining promotion. Last year Vissel Kobe won the title from 13th the previous season. Not taking anything away from Ange, still a great achievement and by no means easy. Just a very volatile and unpredictable league

There was a time 2 seasons ago when every team in the big 6 wanted Ten Hag. He was the next coming of Jesus. He has actually won stuff. At ajax and at MU. Just because his football isn’t coming through right now doesn’t mean his achievements have to be dismissed. I believe he will come good if fans and management are patient with him. It took SAF 4 seasons before he could do anything with MU. MU hasn’t been the club it once was from a decade now. The players, the management everything. The club of this size can’t survive with frequent manager changes and we have had evidence of that in the past decade. 😊

That’s crazy . Howe brought Bournemouth from league 2 to the prem , kept them up. Got them comfortable mid table season after season (sometimes on top 10) , playing great football. It’s difficult for those kinda teams to break into top 6. Howe is a far superior manager than Ange. I think what howe has done tops what Ange has done. Ange took spurs to 5th it’s hardly much of an achievement Is it ?

They have a strong core of players but City ,Arsenal,Liverpool ,United,Chelsea ,Spurs, Villa all had / have better squads. Look at the squad that finished Top 4 . It’s really impressive that they managed to get there

And before anyone says Emery was sacked after 7 winless games at Arsenal, Arteta also did the same in 2020 and in fact had a spell of 1 win in 10 games between October and December, and that was without a decent finish in the league prior

then you cant compare Howe's previous years in the prem before Ange joined. the season before Ange came to the prem Spurs finished 8th and Newcastle finished 4th. Ange's first year in the prem he finishes 5th while Newcastle finish 7th. Ange clearly the better manager
