Intermittent fault with my propex heater. I now think the issue is not enough electric to fire it up, but I didn't really know at the time of making the video.
Found this vid..... When i was bleeting on you should have sent me here😀👏👍. Have you opened up the large cover,,, if you havent corel DONT as there is a silocon gasket round the edge its just hi-temp sealent,. inside the cover there is a ignighter with a screw on it you adjust the spark by turning the screw in or out so that the spark is at its strongest TURN OFF GAS BEFORE TOUCHING THIS !! This is what usualy goes wrong so 1 it needs adjusting or 2 the spade clip or wire has come off the ignighter (prob same as your cooker that makes a click-click when it starts}. So wish i was near you to do this its so bloody frustrating😂😂
Hey there, I thought I responded to this?! Okay, so how do I I look at the igniter if I can't take the cover off? 🤔 Couldn't I just get some high temp sealant to put round it when I've done?
@@anothercampervanchannel Mornin Corel, I have been looking around for a "how to" for this heater and also asked freinds for a manual but no luck... However ive found this and yes you do use heat silicone to reseal it .. read it through lots of times and look at the pics this happens a lot with these heaters, i think yours just needs igniter cleaning with sand paper and screw adjusting a little as if wire broken it wouldn't light at all ... turn of gas and power before you start when you have cleaed it turn on power ONLY woithout lpg then try it and it should spark like your cooker if it does put it back together then turn on gas and try it ... vandogtraveller.com/propex-compact-1600-campervan-heater-not-igniting-fix/
@@whitevanman9500 Ah you're a star Trace 😊. I've seent the article you've linked to before. I'm sure if I could take it apart, I could sort it. Mind you, I had 3 of my burners on today and they acted very strangely! I've put it in a video which I will be uploading shortly. Makes me wonder if the cylinder isn't right 🤔. Anyway, thanks so much for your time 😊👍
@@anothercampervanchannel yeah i did. hows it all working for you? i see they have really become better in last few years. I still have my propex 1600 on my boat which workd fine.
