I never would of thought of that Napa tool you brought. Another tip from Justin. Linda is super lucky to have you help her. That fuel oil smell just waffles through the house. I can smell it from here. I was surprised to see two oil and vent ( one for each tank). I have one for my 330 gal tanks, with one loop over. As usual. You got it fixed!
@CerebralAilment You were smart to know they carry those. Don't know what you would of done if they didn't have that tool. The old saying. If you have the right tool. It makes the job go smoothly.
The service guy trick is to have a shop vac on the fill pipe to draw a slight vacuum in the tank(not too much to avoid collapsing the tank) so you can replace fittings without draining the tank.
@@CerebralAilment Good call! Code around here says both tanks need separate fill and vent pipes, but we all know that's not what you're going to find every time. Great job helping out a friend!
Nice work Justin, helping people out is a great way to show that people do care, well done mate. That gate valve(shut off to the oil tank) might have a stuffing box on the spindle, if so an easy fix and wont need to be replaced (just advise from a Plumber).... I couldn't see on the video if it did, but I'm sure you know what to do.... I enjoy your videos
All you need to fix that shut off faucet that is wet around the nob. Tighten the nut that is on shaft going into cut off. That will tighten it so it will not leak.
No offense taken - it was super dark in there. Wasn't the best scenario for trying to film a video but maybe it will show someone else what to do if they run into this situation. I gotta get better at making sure the shots are clean and that I'm prepared to film for longer periods of time. Its hard to not just push through the work that needs to be done, filming often slows you down.
@@CerebralAilment Yeah, I can imaging how filming adds a lot of time to getting things done. You mentioned your gopro battery died. I've head many complaints about gopro quality issues. Some youtubers said that gorpo ignored an overheating issue for several generations of gopros. I don't have an action camera yet, but I'm tempted to try one from competitors of gopro.
Justin, perhaps you should charge for views of your videos then the nay sayers can shut the fcuk up and give you their money to by new lighting and camera equipment. Just sayin. 👍😎. Joe.
