sad ive bought several cars off neil i just found out he passed id have bought a bunch had i known he went to college with my uncle he knew i was a kid starting out gave me a 64 chevelle ss convertible and a 65 ss 2door hard top for 1200 my uncle talked him into getting me into old cars later in life his encouragement sent me on some crazy travels to find my yenko nova later a couple baldwin motion cars and recently a mr norms car he was hi priced to some but always fair and honest

@@CerebralAilment I drag raced a nostalgia gasser 55 he had in one of the barns 100 proof i always wondered what happened to that car . the guy who ran it broke his back and needed a temp driver that car hooked hard for a big car it had s tall deck 427 went 6:60 with me in it the guy who drove it told me the car must like me cause it went consistent 6:80 with everyone else and im a pretty big guy
I think where all the air ducts where clogged with rats nest the motor got hot and where the head and guide are dissimilar metals they might expand and contract at different rates making them loosen up.
Last video you mentioned finding your niche or video style. I really enjoyed this one. Only constructive input I can think of is maybe if you presented in a will it run type format? I don't know. But I do know you've got impressive repair skills and ability. Nice work.

Bet they took it to a shop, they done a compression test and said it needed an engine for $2k so the owner junked it. I bought a JD zero turn with a (i think) 21hp Kawasaki engine only had a simple crank seal leak for $150, $12 seal, oil and changed all fluids i was mowing with it before he picked his new mower up lol. The shop told him the seal was shot and would need a new crank and seal to fix it
You have perseverance to max. You dig in and challenge yourself to these mowers. Good for you. I can tell your parents didn't bring you up with a silver spoon. Did you ever find out what was talking to you in the scrap pile?
It's possible if your heater fan switch only working on high speed could be a bad wiring plug under the glove box. Turn it on 1 through 3 speed, reach under the glove box and mess with the wire plugs. Worth a try.

Will you come over and fix my mower if I pay your air fare? 😂 Toothed belt jumped on the mower deck and blades are out of sync, tensioner is rusted in place and I can't get it loose... been that way for 4 years already 😅
Nice score glad to see you got it running I’ll give you an FYI. VP fuel for the four strokes or for the two strokes or Trufuel you can get them both in tractor supply cheapest place around…. NAPA to expensive Advance auto parts carries them also in store once in a while if you got a carb it’s a little gummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do you want to tear it off and clean it VP sells a fixed fuel drained all the gas out of the gas tank,,,,,,,,and pour the fix fuel in it you probably only be able to run it in half throttle because of The carburetors gummed up,,, Run her half on choke porn in it and let it run whatever we can get it to run and let the fix fuel run through the system and eventually you’ll be able to increase the throttle and decrease the choke……….. it’ll self clean itself..Just like an oven done in a couple of times…… I only run now is true fuel and everything two stroke and four stroke…..I do not I repeat I do not buy any gasoline anymore don’t have time to be pulling carburetors off to rebuild them Samuel bacon
