Decent vid fells. What I used to do was link the open vent to the cold feed with a piece of hep 2 valves on on vent & cold feed so you flush that pipework as a circuit which cleans out the vent & possible blocked cold feeds. The orange colour is an indicator of air being drawn into the system so check the open vent & cold feed config in the airing cupboard & pump speed . When I used to do bgas upgrades had to do power flushing before Magna cleanse were around. It was laborious & soul destroying . Good luck on finishing it off all ok & look forward to part 2 👍

Hello mark great video can’t wait to see part two, on your thermal imaging camera are you able to adjust the temperature sensing range to detect a closer grouping of temperature if you get what I mean for example to show between 60 and 50 degrees as red hot then anything below that shows as darker red to blue. When I have borrowed one before that’s what the guy said to do to get a more accurate view of what spots on the rad aren’t performing quite as well as the parts that are reaching that set temperature

Don’t want this to come across as a DHC Mark, but why didn’t you pre dose the system and then go back and use your thoroughflush to flush out? I know even an 8-10 rad system can take a couple of days to flush properly, if it’s heavily contaminated, but didn’t really understand why you spent a day with the magnacleanse
@MJTiffPlumbing
@MJTiffPlumbing Год назад
No mate, I don’t see it as a DHC, I appreciate a proper question and view buddy👍🏼👍🏼 That’s why I put the MC5 rapid flush in first, as that’s a few hours of more powerful flush, then the MC3 overnight…… then part 2 is the thoroughflush. You can’t just put chemicals in and that’s it…. You need to agitate the rads during the process as shown👍🏼 Plus I always like to be about when flushing for a day for safety👍🏼
@roik4278
@roik4278 Год назад
I know that mate. Flush wise I will pre dose the system with cleanser and let it circulate for at least a week, before going back and then flushing. I suppose it’s the way I’ve been taught from years gone by, but always intrigued as to how others do it. Personally, I find the longer I can keep cleaner in, prior to flushing, the better the results 👍🏻

@M J Tiff Plumbing you don't with them tabs only checks for certain chemical and not all cleaners use that specific chemical in them. So you could be double dosing and causing chemical reactions to having a different brand of inhibitors in. I've known them to say that there isn't any inhibitor in when i know there is. Just a different manufacturer. We should be using proper water quality testing kits.
