This is literally DCI level music, it'd be perfect for an actual show. They can even call the show Heaven Horizons as well. Just have to add drumline in.
I mean, ik ill get better over time. I've wrote 6 pieces, 2 or 3 of them are joke pieces, and the rest are more of my serious works, but like I said, I just do it for fun lol
As a tuba player, some of my gripes would be sustained notes that are too low and at too high a dynamic to reasonably hold out. Also, I find a lot of parts boring, with the tuba part consisting of mostly just sustained notes, with a few little harder bits at its most complex. Maybe use some higher ranges or try some more complex parts. it's just stupidly easy and I would get bored pretty fast playing this. id give it a 6/10. I love the way it sounds, but the low brass parts need some work.
Btw if you want to do long pauses in musescore without writing out like 4 bars rest in between each movement you can add a pause or fermata and then press F8 to change the length of the pause (change the time warp value)
Really nice sounding stuff, not sure about other people’s experience but marching trumpet your parts are a little weird. Top of the staff f is absolutely doable but I would keep third trumpets away from that, keep them from about first space F to about the top space E. They should almost never have splits, have seconds and first split. Seconds really shouldn’t go past a high A and whenever possible third trumpets should be doubling the highest notes of the first trumpet or the root of the chord, live this might sound very hollow or thin if the thirds don’t ground the firsts. Again, really great sounds to this and I can hear some of the shows that probably influenced this.
Hello there Gabe. I am Gabe. If I may enquire, what drove you to subscribe to my RU-vid account? I have no videos nor am I currently planning on making any. It is nice to meet another Gabe though. Have a nice day. (I like the song you got going here.)
