TGCF In A Nutshell Ep9! Xie Lian pulls General Beef Cake down the Sinner's Pit with him and almost becomes as flat as a pancake. He is rescued by his ghost in red, Hua Cheng, who refuses to let him go, because the floor is gross. They argue with General Beef Cake and learn about who the State Preceptor really is. They learn about her past and she approaches them, and they have to further explain what is going on. Xie Lian discovers that she is actually Banyue, a little girl who he cared for years ago. Fu Yao also jumps down, worried about his friends and finding the tourists annoying. Soon after it starts raining snakes for some reason.

"Don't do reckless things on your own"- the irony of Xie Lian saying that is killing me. I love the chibi Banyue ghost and the rain of snakes. 'Friend who is boy' had me cackling too. Keep telling yourself that Xie Lian. I love the detail on Hua Cheng's ghost form too; the little silver butterflies on the sheet are too cute!

Yay!!! Another one so soon! Thanks for your hard work! Now for the squeeing… “Flat as a pancake.” Ahhh so glad you included that book reference! It’s sad that XL was just resigned to going splat when falling like it was no big deal. 🥺 That made it extra nice when HC caught him- “You’ll never go splat again now that I’m here.” “Double dead” yesssss!! Love this! “We’re boyfriends. Boys and friends.” And later, “Friend who is boy.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Banyue’s story was perfect! Her dad being all, “Nah fam.” cracked me up 😂 And that she’s “Undead, which isn’t dead enough.” Too good! “Owch. Owch. Owch.” 😂😂😂 (it kind of ticked me off that XL let that beating go on for so long before stopping it 😒) “Are you Banyue from Banyue and sometimes Yong’an?” 🤣🤣 OMG. I just realized that XL is the “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” old lady!! Thanks for that 😂😂 This was just perfect. I can’t wait for more!!
