Great reaction! This is such a brave version from a 12 year old girl. What I have come to admire most about Angelina here, is actually not her rich, full and gorgeous low tones. It is rather her incredible discipline. She could so easily have gone up an octave in the second verse, added some vocal pyrotechnics (as so many do with this song). But no, instead she lets the melody shine. Hauntingly beautiful!

I am a humanist and am somewhat disappointed when I hear someone sing a religious song, but Angelina's voice is so good in this I keep coming back and listening.

C3 is actually bellow contralto range F3-F5. It is low even for male voices.

I never tire of hearing her voice, and need to hear it every day. I am told that this is the same register that Elvis Presley used. She appears to be about 11 years old here. To really show her upper range, listen to her rendition of "I Have Nothing," and "Feelin' Good," at age 10.

“You make me feel so young” is always in my top 10 and is so underplayed, she does a remarkable rendition of this song that is usually a duet.

A heavenly voice singing to the Giver of that gift! How appropriate! To sing so low and to sing so slow and to sing so exposed (virtually no instrumentation cover) as here is a feat that perhaps Angelina can alone accomplish among female singers of any age. Some have said she is paying a nod to Elvis by apparently singing in his same key.

how can a young lady go that low. you know people have a hard time classifying angelina's voice. they are all over the place. angelina started so young and has developed such incredible tools she has been singing for almost 15 years and nobody has ever shown so much continued improvement over such a long time. the stuff she is putting out now u can actually see and hear improvement from week to week. she knows her voice so well and is just fine-tuning all her embellishments....it is downright scary and we are so fortunate...

Just a quick note that this is the perfect example of why Angelina is called the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices. She is singing here in the same register as Elvis! She is self-taught!

I believe she was 12 or 13 when she recorded this. Her observed range from all of her videos goes from a C3 (tessitura D3) up to G#5. Great reaction.

For those of us without music training. What and how many octaves is that?

@@davidfryer9218 Just over 2 octaves (C/D3 to C5 is two octaves), then she has another D,E,F,G -5 added range. This of course is just her "natural" range where she has natural control (doesn't break or drop out across a useful range of volume, maintains accurate pitch, can do acceptable vibrato, several other technical req'ds). But of course, singers can train themselves with or without help, to extend their capabilities above and below that natural range. Eg though Dimash likely has perhaps a 2 or 3 octave natural range, he has trained himself to employ reliably a range above 5 octaves.

I think Angelina has ultimate control over her vocals. Control that is unique with each note and choice of register, head or chest voice. A voice of a angel. MB, thank you for the genuine amazement that accompanies the beautiful interpretation of Angelina. This slow and measured version of her, but so emotional and heartfelt, moves me every time I listen to her again, even if I'm not a believer. She makes me float, detaching me from the ground and always leaves me suspended between the notes of her voice. Honestly, few singers can with so little (other than her beautiful voice) create so much emotion and involvement. 💛 🧡 ❤️

Loved that reaction very much MB, welcome to the church of Angelina. She is 13 here and decided to show us all her fabulous vocal range by taking us into her Elvis voice. Though she has displayed this ability in other songs to an extent, this song is done entirely in her low register and is impeccable. The shock on your face is the usual reaction people have upon hearing this for the first time. You may well know by now that fans refer to her as the girl with a 1000 voices and this is a beautiful one on display here. I wish I could ask Angelina why she omitted this verse: v.3 "And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing; Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in; That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin. Some of her phrases are longer than any I've heard. So difficult, especially in such a low register.
