Can't wait to see/hear the next Statler Brothers song. All their music is good. Try " the official historian on Shirley Jean Burrell" Or "I saw your picture in the paper"

I have been happy to see all the Statlers music lately. They have been overlooked in my opinion. Thank you Annie and Harri.

Harri’s enthusiasm is contagious. I have been familiar with the Statler Brothers for many years but I am gaining a new appreciation. This was a fine request and summary. Thanks Harri and Annie 🌸💐✌️

Yes!!! I love those guys. They were my constant companions growing up. I eagerly awaited their latest album. I grew up with them and still love listening to them today. Miss them so much. So many hits, so many more incredible songs that should have been hits.

I love the Statlers and I love bass harmony, so this is one of my favorites because Harold gets a lot of input on this one.

From the 1983 album, " Today", this was the first song to feature the vocals of Jimmy Fortune when Lew De Witt left the band. Their signature close harmonies and smooth country sound, add distinct flavour to this tune that had doo-wop beginnings, when The Four Knights recorded it in 1953. Can't beat their wonderful vocals, especially the extraordinary bass. Great reaction Handsome Harri ❤❤ Super song Annie 👏👏 Cheers from Canada ❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦

If you have not already done, so, you might check out the Oak Ridge boys. They have a similar style to the Statler Brothers, and they also have an amazing bass singer.

Roy Clark introduction so I'm guessing Hee Haw. They had a great sound, thanks Annie and Harri.

Cover version of a #3 hit song by the Four Knights from 1953.

For a longer song by them, try I've Never Lived This Long Before

So this is the original! Dutch comedian André van Duin has done a cover of this as De Heidezangers. And the bass literally has a lead role 😁

This isn’t the original. The original was by The Four Knights in 1953.

They were regulars on the Johnny Cash TV show. I think they were his back up singers as well as The Carter Family.
