Well, I know what I'm doing tonight. I love how deep you go with your descriptions/opinions of the bands and songs, I'm pretty sure you could convince me to listen to anything. Btw, have you listened to Uroboros by DeG? I'd love to hear your opinions on that, even if it's just through comments.
Hey this is kind of what I was looking for recently, thanks! I do already listen to several metal bands some pretty heavy but I'm also not very knowledgeable as a whole and I find I also need to warm up to the song or band first when getting into heavier stuff. I'll definitely check it out. I'd love to listen to more playlists from you too for getting into more metal.
List so far seems cool(and very much for a vocalist) As this is a feet wet kinda list, I would add a Maiden Track and a Metallica Track though. Maybe sth along the lines of dance with death/fear of the dark/hallowed be thy Name for Maiden and my friend of mysery/one/don't tread on me for Metallca. Maybe sth from Priest too. For an additional flavor I would add sth folk/medieval Metal/hardrock with old Instruments along the lines of In Extremo (Sängerkrieg, poc vecem)/Subway to Sally (Sieben, aufgewacht, schwarze seide)/Saltatio Mortis (eg.Brunhild, IX, )/Korpiklaani (eg.Ämmänhauta, sumussa hämäran aamun, pilli on pajusta tehty) or some other Bands (these are just my personal preferences) Since you already have Iced Earth you don't have to use Blind Guardian but If your expanding the playlist and want to add some more in that Line... And maybe Just maybe a thought since you went with after forever for Floor a Nightwish Track with Tarja? For Expansion purposes aside from Nightwish Epica, Kamelot or Within Temptation might be good. Wintersun is a good band to get used to harsher vocals in contrast with clean vocal set to awesome melodies. Their Harsh vocal are quite understandable even. Aside from straight Metal maybe since your friend is into varied stuff getting him into Mucc might a good thing😉
I have a personal request (probably not the first time you've gotten a message like this.) I am a solo musician, and I make experimental sludge metal, and I was curious if you'd give my stuff a listen? I have just released an EP called "EVERYTHING IS ENDLESS" on Spotify. Not a big deal if not, I understand. Saved this playlist and am really digging it btw!!🤘
Search Rdetied on Spotify(yes spelt like that) the EP i mentioned no longer is on there but I have a sizeable catalog u can listen to if ur interested.
