Welcome to the Baldman channel. I do f reviews, and reactions on bands, and artists. I've been a music critic in various forms for 21 years. The are mainly metal, and hard rock. I also cover alot of Visual Kei I've been a metalhead for over 30 years now. I play Bass, Guitar, sing, and have spent time in the scene in bands, as well as booking, and promoting local, regional bands, national bands, and international bands. I created this channel with the desire to help lesser known bands get more exposure, and to share my love of metal. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Man, I'm sorry I caught this video so late. Here I am watching this reaction to one my favorite current bands, only 5 years late! This album is brilliant throughout. To see you get emotional at the end, which is one of their best songs (and they have MANY) in their catalog. Great Reaction! I would love to know have you seen them live yet? I was lucky to see them tour for this album in Philly and they had both guest female singers come on tour. Holy Sheeeet, it was AMAZING! But, I've seen them now, 5 different times and they never disappoint. Love to also know what other albums of theirs have you listened to? Thanks for a great reaction video!
I got this way back in 2003 I think and been in top list for me since. Recently bought the rerelease and the cassette version gonna grab that vinyl next.
if u dont knew them! Try this song/Band-----> Julika - Venom music Genre: Electronicore + deathcore + glam metal + 10 sec rap + dubstep in one song ;o--- BTW: the guitarist'er plays on 8 strings !!!!!;o made a reation song to it! it wil be nice ;o- u will be suprizses!
They are not from Oslo, they are from Nord-Odal, Norway. ;) I know these people. Agnethe and her brother and two other brothers, not their, used to play at a local...place for young people maaaany years ago. I used to work there. She is the daugther of one of my mothers friends. :)
I think this town is in Slovenia, and that castle I believe is a place they also play in from time to time. And I think... (googlegoogle) - Yes, that is Ljubljana (Laibach), the Slovenian capitol. Reeeeeally beautiful old town by the looks of it. :)
One of my favourite bands since I first saw them live at the "Lords of independence" festival here in Bonn. In 1986. And with every of their releases my respect for their art keeps growing.
A thrill ride for sure. Loved the experience you got to enjoy - they just released the live version of act II last week and the band’s growth really shows in it, makes this already top tier album even better
I would never be able to talk while listening to the solo, shiver down the spine, mesmerizing stuff. One of the best solos in history for sure. There are many “one of the best solos”, but this is definitely one of them.
I tear up every time I get to the last track of this album. the whole album is just such a journey, and maybe its because I grew up on country music as a kid so that steel guitar sound has a special comforting place in my heart but I cant help but shed a tear every time. I wonder if youve fell in love with any other Decemberists records since you heard this one. The Crane Wife is another album of pure majesty.
Absolutely share the same opinion, I love the song (and I think Amanda's vocals fit it perfectly, her gritty mids are better than Stu by FAR), but the mix just keeps me at arms length, can't imagine someone getting into the band through this production.
I'm very late to watching this, but I just want to say thank you for reacting to this, and for sharing your insights and thoughts on both the instrumentation and vocal performance. I don't have your words to describe my thoughts, but I think this song has a good full sound, where the instruments don't feel in competition. Sometimes, especially in heavier styles of music, I find the sound to be instense but flat, like everything is trying to do "the most". This song has a great depth to the sound, and it's dynamic as well, which I also tend to enjoy. Chester's vocals are the same, using different parts of his range, both softer and more distorted vocals, and different styles of singing. I can't help but feel saddened that we didn't get to see Chester do even more. He did some live performances in supergroups like Camp Freddy and Kings of Chaos where we do get to see him branch out more, but it just doesn't feel like enough. But then again, maybe it never would, when you lose such a talent. Thank you again for this reaction ❤
Returning to this six months later, another fun fact about this story, is that at one time a woman saying "I am undone." Or "You may cause me to become undone." Was slang for pregnancy. So Colin repeating it so much could imply that the narrative knows that this one chance encounter has lead to Margaret's pregnancy.
This entire album is mind bogglingly incredible. I will never forget listening to it on a road trip with some buddies, shortly after it was released. We were all freaking shocked at how unbelievable the album was from start to finish.
Hey, great reaction video as always ! I'd love to see you react to the song Gallows. It's literally the song that made me like this band. Here's a link for a live version. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--f0GzC52Vx8.html
