I was thinking the same thing. If I understand correctly can't a TOW launcher be remotely operated from a small distance away since it's wire guided? Like, the operator connected to the launcher by a cable? I was under the impression this was how they worked for precisely this reason. That first launch is asking for HE in return. Isn't that tube effectively throwaway for this reason also? You don't have to reload that thing. No way.
Its not a TOW. Its a Kornet missle system made by the russians. Doesnt look like or resemble a TOW missle at all. the round is too short in length for it to be a TOW/TOW2B system and there would be more than 2 operators.
That launcher is not a U.S. ATGM system. That launcher is a Russian made system that launches the 9M133 Kornet Missle. Even then, U.S. Operators will not use a tripod dismounted system which keeps them in place. They will use a Javeline system instead. C+ for misinformation, A for target engagement. a T62 (rear tank) and T55 (lead tank) can be easly be destroyed with .50 Cal since the armor on that vehicle is thin. hell a braldey's 25MM will destroy it with a small shot group

They think the Taliban drove us out, when in fact we left of our own accord after building the country up for 20 years. We could've stayed for another 20 more. Hypothetically speaking I bet the Afghan government--if given the opportunity in some fantasy world--would have joined the Union if given the invitation. People watching the chaos at the airport see failure, I see an ideological victory. Those people want out because they know the Taliban are awful. They want out because they know there is no future under Taliban rule. They know what freedom is, they tasted it, and want no part of anything else.
U.S. Tanks were never destroyed by Afhghan fighters. However russian tanks were destroyed when they tried to occupy afghanistan. dont know where you got your information from, but youre incorrect.
